Best cocktail bar in quebec city. We were here 3 nights & came every evening for the most amazing drinks, ambiance & the most professional service around. Highly recommend it!!!! It bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for!!!

Came here with my partner for quick drinks & bites & ended up not even eating. Service was incredibly slow & the staff were extremely inattentive. We were not even able to get a glass of water even though we asked. After ordering our first drink one of the bartender gave us a check even though we had ordered another round of drinks. Drinks & ambiance are fantastic but when the service is that much of an issue it does not make you want to come back. Disappointing to say the least.

Incredibly hard to choose just one drink! So, say, don't limit yourself. Come next time with time to spare. Bar Confidential & Hemingway's Retreat were fantastic cocktails. Served with chips & rice crackers. We also had the hummus plate which was delish. Great snacks to enjoy on Friday afternoon post Chateau Frontinac tour. If you can read French, there are plenty of editions of La Comédie humaine.

It can somedays be very busy, noisy, frustrating long wait to be seated, somedays can be moderate crowd, relaxed, quality service, & kind staff.
I suggest classic cocktails here. We enjoy Green Fogg, 1943, & Hemingway from their cocktail menu. The cocktail menu has vol al per abv which can also be helpful guide for your different interests & moods.
Skip crowded days for better well received service.

If you're looking for proper mixologists, this is unfortunately not your spot. As much as I would love for it to be a great cocktail & booze spot, it's simply just a disappointing big brand hotel with a photographic vibe & no class. The bartenders have no creativity beyond the menu - perhaps that's by design.

The most disappointing cocktail experience of my four days in Quebec City. We had a whisky based cocktail that was pretty good but our other cocktail, the'Rose de Renard', was terrible. It was unbalanced & essentially$28 fruit punch. To make matters worse, the main bar is also closed for renovations & instead of seating you in the restaurant space with water views you get crammed into a tiny back bar area. Only half of the 1608 menu is available during this time (despite the hostess telling us everything would be the same). Overall very disappointing experience.

Service was marginal. Ordered a French 45 & the champagne must have been open for days & the drink was not made properly. Bad decor, dead flowers & cheap glassware. There was a TV in the corner & food on the floor. Did not order food. Do not waste your money.
