Had lunch with the family august 17th, 2019. Bello Ristorante has mediocre food with gourmet prices, l am ltalian & after a week of poutine & chicken touring the "belle provence" it was time for some soul food & rest. bello was NOT the place to go. The risotto fungi was absolute crap, no flavour hardly any cheese & low quality cheese at best. The prosciutto pizza was ok tasting but the crust was too thick, definitely not Italian style. The pasta was good but again at $178 for lunch it should have been fantastic. The service was ok, but not great, food took too long to prepare, wait staff did not understand that napkins are a requirement, & when someone orders pasta, parmigiana/reggiano cheese is mandatory. I felt sorry for the wait staff & over tipped them even though I felt cheated. It is always the fault of management when your product fails to impress is my motto. I can't believe all the positive reviews but due have to mention that I don't drink so perhaps after a few bottles of chianti anyfood tastes good.

Drove up from New England to spend the weekend in Quebec City. After a day filled of walking & site seeing we decided on Bello for dinner based upon a recommendation from a bartender at on the of the other local establishments. It did not disappoint. Nice decor, attentive staff & great food. We had a nice quiet table for our meal & both entrees were fantastic. My wife agreed with the local bartender that is was some of the best risotto she has ever had. Only draw back was the Tiramisu was not to my wife's liking, although we did split & it & finished it off. Definitely recommend Bello if you are looking for some Italian food while visiting Quebec.

Our second visit was somewhat disappointing. Being of Italian descent, the pasta Bolognese is a complete MIS-NOMER ... it was NOT a Bolognese sauce at all [a Bolognese sauce is comprised of chopped meat (a combination of beef, veal, pork) with a small amount of finely chopped carrot & other seasonings in a tomato base] ... what was served was spaghetti & very hard meat balls in a not-so-good tomato sauce! The quality of the beef carpaccio was excellent (as it was the 1st time) BUT too much stuff (including vinegar doused chopped mushrooms) is served over it ... it should be a much more delicate dish [beef carpaccio on the plate (no greens under it) decorated with a small amount of finely shaved (not grated) parmesan or Romano cheese; some watercress (undressed) in center; extra-virgin olive oil or truffle oil over top ... & THAT'S IT!] With two tables (later 3) dining at an off-hour in the afternoon service should have been attentive to a fault ... but it was more like we were intruding. Sorry to say that Bello will not be on my list of restaurants to visit when next I travel to Quebec City. I don't like writing reviews like this but I'm hoping the chef & the management will read it.

My partner & I visited Bello while vacationing in Quebec City. We both love Italian cuisine, & so we decided to make a reservation*. The risotto was by far the best thing we ordered, & I would highly recommend the giant tiger risotto. My partner ordered the seared tuna dish, & it was terrific as well. Their wine list was extensive, as was their dessert menu. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, & I would recommend sitting on the terrace, as the view is quite lovely.

*This restaurant books up fast, so make sure to reserve a table in advance.

The staff did a really nice job on New Years Eve! The Italian food was very good. The dining room is beautiful & was dressed up for NYE. The management had all hands on deck to make sure the evening went off well. Excellent evening! My compliments!

Every year in December we visit Quebec City,& our first stop is Bello's. Excellent & attentive service matched only by their exquisite Italian cuisine. A must visit in picturesque Old Quebec.

We had a 6:30 reservation & were promptly seated. We enjoyed the Antipasto for 2. There was so much that we couldn't finish. We enjoyed the Italian cold meats, arancini, olives, salmon & capresi salad & mozzarella. Our entrees were the veal medallions & seafood risotto. Everything was excellent. After supper I enjoyed Il Fiamatto Bello coffee prepared tableside. The servers were very attentive. The owner also made an appearance at our table. It was a very enjoyable eveing & I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent Italian restaurant in Old Montreal... recommended by our hosts. Went twice on our 2-night stay.. very authentic & much better than the tourists traps. The HOMEMADE tiramisu is the best I have ever had.... with made-from-scratch marscapone. Highly recommend!
