Let me start by saying the staff was friendly & the food was eatable. We were 3 people & ordered appetizers & 3 different main courses (tartares, Surf & Turf & the ribs) in order to try different things. All the food is bland no flavours, no use of spices or specific vegetable to augment taste. Salmon & beef tartares were simply chopped pieces of meat nothing mixed in, the fries had that Burger king charm; the "surf & turf" the piece of beef was covered in so much sauce no way to tell what piece of meat was actually served, the shrimp were clearly frozen from a bag & simply put over a grill for 3 seconds, not even a zest of lemon or parsley, the mash potatoes were very salty & reminded me of a hospital serving; the ribs tasted the same as a store bought Jack Daniel sauce thickly applied .... I would have enjoyed more flavor in a Cage aux Sport & saved a lot of money. With all the restaurants in Quebec City with genuine European charm & cooking why did we end up at this one ... Google reviews are obviously out of date
Note the waiter did apologize & offer us a dessert with coffee .... still waiting on that coffee
