Hier, j'ai eu le plaisir de retourner à La Planque, dans le quartier Limoilou, sur la 3e Avenue. Établi à cet endroit depuis de nombreuses années, ce restaurant se démarque par sa constance & la qualité de l'expérience qu'il offre à chaque visite.
Tout est pensé avec soin : les produits sont magnifiques, le décor est chaleureux & l'ambiance est à la fois raffinée & accueillante. J'apprécie particulièrement tous ces petits détails qui font la différence, comme l'eau pétillante maison offerte à table, les belles serviettes en tissu, les belles assiettes , le décor, sans oublier l'excellente carte des vins avec pleins de vins d'importations & les cocktails maison.
Nous avons choisi le menu découverte à 79 $, une formule qui permet de goûter à plusieurs créations du chef : deux amuse-bouches, deux entrées, un plat principal & un dessert à partager. Une belle façon de découvrir la cuisine de la maison & de se laisser surprendre par les saveurs du moment. Le pain du Borderon accompagné de son beurre maison est également un incontournable.
Avec sa belle terrasse & son service toujours attentionné, La Planque demeure pour moi une valeur sûre à Québec. Une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter pour une soirée gourmande où chaque détail contribue à rendre l'expérience mémorable
Came to La Planque on a Saturday evening with a reservation. Looking at the simple menu online, I didn't have many expectations but the reviews on Google were promising.
We ordered the Quie Toé cocktail to start - was very strong & had refreshing grapefruit flavor, perfect for those who love more citrus/fruity drinks 10/10.
For the small bites, we had the deviled eggs, portion is small but in no means is it lacking in flavor. Very creamy & the herb-infused bernaise paired great with the pickled jalapenos.
Ordered the Quebec Pork & the Catch of the day (which turned out to be cod). The Quebec porch was excellent & had a crispy exterior with the inside being very juicy, the sauce had a strong umami flavor that went perfectly with the pork. The cod was extremely tender & flavorful when paired with the creamy/vegetable sauce. The slices of radish & tobiko just added the perfect amount of extra texture & flavor. I typically am not a fan of flaky/white meat fish however this was excellent & I wish I had more!
The dessert of the day was a French toast-like bread with coffee ganache & blueberry sorbet. The combination was unlike anything I've had & paired excellently as the bread was not sweet, the coffee ganache added a little bitterness, but the blueberry sorbet had the sweetness to top it off.
Overall, extremely pleasant experience. Our waitress was very friendly, explained the menu & answered any questions we had thoroughly, someone was always refilling our water & clearing the plates without being asked.
La Planque est un des meilleurs restos & comme toujours, l'expérience surpasse pratiquement tout ce qu'on retrouve ailleurs. J'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner!
This place is amazing! The food & cocktails were absolutely delicious. We tried the date & foie gras appetizer, truly a little bite of heaven! The salmon with curry sauce, deviled eggs, & carrot cake were all outstanding.
The service was even more impressive. Our server was so kind, welcoming, & attentive. She took the time to walk us through the menu. She even graciously humored our attempts at speaking French.
The combo of her genuinely friendly service & the exceptional quality of the cuisine made for a truly great experience.

Je regrette de ne pas avoir pris de photos, mais tout était excellent : bien présenté & savoureux ! Service exceptionnel. Notre serveuse était très courtoise & présente pour nous.
Nous avons pris des huîtres 🦪 en amuse-bouche, la polenta frite à l'aïoli, le thon en entrée & le plat de saumon comme repas principal.
