My girlfriend & I visited Quebec for the Christmas markets & stopped into Bijou for drinks our first night. Our bartender Andrew was incredible & our drinks were made to perfection! He gave us some good insight into new drink recipes & was very accommodating, & suggested some unique places we can visit while in the area. We heard Andrew mention he was working the next night as well so we came back the second night & were lucky to have Andrew again! We will absolutely come back the next time we visit Quebec
We loved this cocktail bar. With so many pubs in QC, it was nice to have a real bar. The atmosphere & decor were beautiful. Our waiter was the best. Kind, attentive, funny & patient.
This bar overlooks a beautiful street in their downtown area & the ambiance was beyond amazing. Alexis & Tom were friendly, made the BEST drinks, & gave us some great recommendations for other places to visit in Quebec City!
What a gem of a spot! Nestled inside the fabulous Monsieur Jean Hotel, Le Bijou offers incredible cocktails & lite bites, as well as a very impressive breakfast spread for hotel guests. Bar service was warm & welcoming & every drink we tried during our week there was so good! The live music on Thursdays & Sundays was a nice touch. Highly recommend!
Le barman Tom était exceptionnel! Moi & mon ami avons adoré notre expérience dans votre étaglissement. C'est maintenant une habitude pour nous de venir chaque Lundi pour être servis par Tom & Alex.
My fiancé & I were on our way to our favorite cocktail bar when we stumbled upon this place & thought we might have found our new neighborhood spot. The space is beautiful with a great ambiance. We were greeted warmly with a big smile & seated at a cozy table for two.
Unfortunately, the experience quickly shifted when our server arrived. He was a large man who leaned over me from behind, completely in my space, which felt intimidating & uncomfortable. He seemed impatient, halfway through our order he walked away, & we had to call him back to finish. When we did, his dismissive'yea yea' made us feel rushed & unwelcome.
The cocktails themselves were excellent. Both delicious & beautifully presented. We had also ordered nuts to go with our drinks, but when my fiancé asked about them, the server gave him a disgusted look, raised his voice as he walked away & replied,'yeaaaaaaa I only have a pair of hands.' I was shocked. His attitude was jarring & completely out of place for such an elegant bar. Not long after, we watched him raise his voice at two elderly women sitting nearby, who looked just as confused & uncomfortable as we felt.
We decided to finish our drinks, pay the bill, & leave (we still tipped, knowing the rest of the staff, who were kind & professional, shouldn't be penalized). It's truly disappointing, because this could have easily become a new favorite of ours. Sadly, because of the service we experienced, we won't be returning.

Wow wow wow! Nous sommes venu seulement pour prendre un verre & avons été ravis! Le barman Tom est tout simplement exceptionnel! Les cocktails parmi les meilleurs que j'ai goûter, vraiment un endroit à découvrir & sans doute ne sera pas la dernière fois que je viendrai.
Although their bartender Andrew was incredible & worthy of 6 stars, we had reservations for 8:30 & the hostess sat us at the bar promising to honour our dining seats as soon as a table opens up. We waited 20 minutes, got no update, watched 3 other couples come after us get seating, & after reminding her she asked us to wait a few seconds only to not return. Atmosphere was 5 stars as the place has such a unique vibe & the music was great. I think this place is so much better than the lack of service we received from the hostess & it saddens me to give them 3 stars.
