After seeing great reviews about other Les Enfants Terribles locations, we were glad to see one near our hotel in Old Quebec. We made sure to make a reservation even with only a party of 3, in order to make sure we had a smooth experience. Unfortunately, we were let down.

I was told by another celiac that the restaurant could accommodate gluten free very well, but quickly learned that it was location-based & not for all the sister restaurants. However, the chef gave a few options & so I went with steak frites, replacing the fries with vegetables. After a very, very long wait for our food, I was disappointed with what I received. The steak was cooked perfectly but the flavour & texture wasn't worth the hefty price on the menu. &, even more so, when I was charged an extra $9 for the vegetable swap, which were 9 flimsy, slightly burnt pieces of asparagus.

The server who served us was friendly & apologetic, but overall we did a lot of waiting the entire evening - to order & to receive our meal. It looked as though they didn't have enough staff on for making drinks, serving tables & welcoming customers, which caused said issues. Not sure if this is a regular thing at this location or not.

Our bill was the most expensive of all our meals we ate for a week of travels, & our service & food was sub par to other places we dined at.

Personnel courtois & attentionné. Nous avons mangé la guédille crevettes & homard. Gouteux & bien garnie. Il y a seulement les frites qui étaient vraiment tièdes & dures (dommage).
