Le service est un peu lent, parfois maladroit & quelques manque au niveau de l'anticipation des choses à service (proposer un autre verre de vin, amener la facture, présentation des plats, etc.)
Probablement l'un des meilleurs restaurant que j'ai pu manger. Le potage Choux-fleurs & panais etait hallucinant, le tartare classic était tres bon, mon conjoint a adore ses cromesquis de morue (& nous venons d'une ville ou la peche a la morue est accessible), & la pizza savoyarde etait aussi un coup de coeur. si nous habitions plus proche, ce serait un resto sur notre liste a aller fréquemment.
L'Îlot, located within the Entourage sur-le-Lac resort, has all the ingredients for a 5-star dining experience. I'm giving it 4 stars, & here's why.
We had an 8:30 pm reservation, & although the restaurant wasn't busy, it took about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us & another 10 minutes to be seated. A smoother & more attentive welcome would really elevate the first impression.
Once seated, we ordered the duck pasta (a standout dish) & the cod, which was slightly overcooked but still flavorful. For appetizers, we had the mussels in chorizo sauce-excellent choice! That said, the staff forgot to bring extra plates for sharing & one for the empty shells, even after we mentioned it. Small details, but they make a difference.
Desserts were beautifully plated & tasted amazing, though once again, napkins were forgotten after the table was cleared.
We enjoyed our dinner so much that the next morning we decided to order breakfast for room service - & it was great! The only issue was that it arrived on a rolling tray that wasn't covered, which made us wonder if dust or anything else could have landed on it. Again, it's about the small details.
Overall, the food was easily 5-star quality-creative, well-executed, & delicious. The service was friendly, but greater attention to detail & consistency would truly take this restaurant to the next level. Hopefully, they read this & make those small adjustments.

We had an incredible dinner at L'îlot Repère gourmand! The food was absolutely amazing-every bite was a delight.
I love that the menu changes with the seasons; it's such a great way to keep things fresh & to discover new dishes. I tried the duck pasta, & it was rich, flavorful, & perfectly cooked. My husband had the salmon, which was beautifully prepared & equally delicious.
Our server, Phil, made the experience even better. He was warm, attentive, & genuinely charming. His recommendations were spot on, & his friendly attitude made us feel so welcome.
Le brunch était incroyable avec une vue sensationnelle. Un vrai moment de détente. J'aurais aimé un latté plus traditionnel (vs fait avec une machine automatique). Super service!

Nous avons eu un super bon service & le resto est magnifique, mais la nourriture était décevante & l'envers des plafonds haut c' est la cacophonie qui s'en résulte.
I recently visited this restaurant hoping for a memorable dining experience, & while the atmosphere delivered, the food sadly did not.
From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting-soft lighting, tasteful decor, & a relaxed vibe that made it easy to settle in. The staff were courteous, & the overall setting felt like the perfect place to unwind after a long day.
Unfortunately, the meal itself was a letdown. Dishes arrived cold, which immediately dulled the excitement. Most disappointing was the mussel dish: the sauce had solidified by the time it reached the table, & the flavor was off-bland & oddly textured. It felt like something that had been sitting too long before being served.
Despite the promising environment, the food didn't live up to expectations. I left feeling disappointed, wishing the kitchen had matched the front-of-house charm. With a bit more attention to detail & quality control, this place could truly shine.
