Very cool, place, despite the touristy aspect it is overall very decent. The portion are great. I think in all food aspect like plating or salt & flavors they would need to balance it better but the comfortable ambience, & waiters were all more than enough to make it up.
One thing that was a bit surprising is how many waiters & waitress we got but it was all so smooth that their methods blends seamlessly although a bit unusual. One seated us, one us brought water, one brought our drink, & took our order then a guy brought our meal. It was truly one of a kind ordeal but not a single one was disagreeable. As someone coming from Montréal I will always consider it refreshing how kind &'joyful' the Québec waiters seem to be. Clearly there must be something in the air.
The salmon tartare seems popular, no issues there. Drinks were great, the beers respect the beer to foam ratio. & filled to the brim of the glass. Cocktails with an without alcohol are great, the inside & terrace are great out of the touristy street of Québec this one is def a save avenue. They're directly next by the Irish restaurant. & the the street gets less crowded.
Perhaps the tourist/Québec crowd eats earlier, but we came & the terrace only had few people & then as soon as we got sat & received our menu the restaurant filled instantaneously. Every type of people came to eat. It's for all kind of crowds I believe.
I had some free time walking around Quebec City & got a bit hungry, after about 10 min of looking I crossed a this low key Italian restaurant with traditional music playing. I hesitated but the owner welcomed me over. I picked a patio seat & told him your choice on the meal. I wasn't disappointed, appetizer was a tasty vegetable soup with Parma sprinkled over, no salt needed. Then came this beautiful sandwich with bocconcini tomatoes prosciutto on a amazing cheese bread 👌🏾 best choice I made coming here. Salad was great & fries for side. I recommend this place. I feel guilty eating alone today but I'll bring my girl here for my return visit. Thank you Helder.
Great meal! I can't usually say that a restaurant matches my home cooking however this one did. One of my favourite dinners in Quebec City! Would highly recommend!
The cacio e pepe was beautifully balanced - rich in flavor, with a silky, peppery sauce that clung to perfectly al dente pasta. It celebrated simplicity in the best way: just a few high-quality ingredients, expertly prepared. Paired with a glass of red wine, the dish felt even more comforting & indulgent.
The atmosphere was incredibly calming, especially during lunch. It was quiet & relaxed - the kind of setting that invites you to slow down & really enjoy your food. The service mirrored that tone: attentive when needed, but never overbearing.
Portion sizes were a bit modest given the price, but understandable considering the authenticity & care behind the food. This is a place that prioritizes tradition, quality, & experience - & it absolutely delivers.
Fabulous food. We had a vegetarian wood fired pizza that had a marvelous assortment of vegetables, great crust & was very good. We also had the chicken cutlet entree that consisted of a large chicken cutlet parmigiana, linguine with lovely tomato sauce & an amazing assortment of vegetables. The meal was served with some delicious focaccia. The entire meal was truly five star. The service was attentive & polite. My French is terrible & the servers recognized my struggles & shifted to English without pause. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The menu was comprehensive & had a lot of dishes to choose from. The value was great & for the quality of the meal was very well priced.
Fantastic place. You can smell the sauce the second you step in. Had the pitcher of sangria with our delicious dinner. Best sangria town. The owner is so friendly, asking everyone if all is good. A must go to in Quebec if you want an authentic Italian dinner. Will be back.
We came on a Saturday evening. It was very busy but we were seated after only a few minutes of waiting. Food was fabulous. Everyone ordered different dishes & all of them tasted absolutely delicious. Deep was our waiter & he was amazing! Helpful, very efficient, he's funny & seems happy doing what he does. We enjoyed it so much that we had to come back the next evening to try more dishes! Deep came to greet us & was so, so good again! Definitely recommend it!
