We were happy & excited to visit poutineville as Poutine is Quebec's signature dish & has vegetarian options but as soon as I entered I was disappointed as we had to wait to get a table & once we got a table there was no one to attend us. We had to call the waitress & she kind of stole the menus from us. We were not even given water for half an hour got it only after we asked for it, & waited for almost an hour for our poutines which were not even served hot.
When asked the waitress about it she replied quite rudely while she was happily attending other tables & serving them quickly (within 5 mins).
We kind of faced subtle racism & were quite disappointed as I took my family there who were visiting from India.
Poutineville you guys can do better, Canadians are known for their politeness please try to be kind & nice to each & everyone 🫶
Didn't know it was a chained restaurant before i eat there, but turns out to be a pretty good poutine shop. Nothing too fancy, friendly & quick services. 4⭐/5⭐ throughout the poutine i have tried
A bit salty for what i had, if you have a similar appetite as me, maybe ask them to put sauce on the side?
I had the Chinese style poutine with vegan cheese (due to an allergy), & even though it arrived very quickly, it wasn't hot enough, & the fried balls & French fries were not crispy at all. I also think it was a bit too sweet with a lack of balance, but that's just my personal taste. The waitress was very nice, & honestly she's the main reason I gave this place a higher score than the food itself deserves. They have a good selection of beer, but unfortunately it isn't clear in the menu that the happy hour beer is of a specific type, & not all of the beers available. It would have been nice if the waitress would have brought it to my attention, since I arrived during happy hour, & I was under the impression that I was paying less than I actually had to pay at the end.
Overall, I would say if you consider it a restaurant - I wouldn't recommend it.
If you consider it a bar - it's fine.
We were looking for a quick, casual meal our first night in Quebec City, & wanted to try some poutine. We were not disappointed! It was an interesting & eclectic menu, including "poutines of the world." The one we ordered to share had a combination of the regular fries/gravy/cheese, as well as a host of other ingredients: bacon, hot dogs, chives (you know, the healthy stuff!).
The starters & the main dishes are amazing. The The staff is awesome, we were here on Sunday the restaurant was super busy but they did it really quickly & were friendly. The atmosphere is nice too. I would definitely eat here every day.
Loved the food, quick & amazing service 💯 with a great view 🚞 from patio tables⛱️☂️. Must try Blue Lagoon & Screwdriver for mocktails🍹. 5⭐ service by Sidney Vaughan, also got a treat for my Friend's birthday 🎂.
