I know the place is a decent bar, usyally, & in the summer I'd probably go closer to 5 stars. My perspective is skewed due to 3 factors:
1. It's winter, it was brutally cold, & we got a table close to the door. While they definitely tried to minimize the cold air getting in, it was also incredibly busy - & we ended up being in the cold. A lot.
2. We wanted to see the first USA Canada 4 Nations game. The table had almost no proper view of the TV, so our main goal for eating there kind of got defeated.
3. It was beyond busy - the last weekend of the Bonne Homme festival, the first of the PeeWee QC international hokey championship, the 4Nations - the entire city was a zoo.

The food was good, nothing spectacular. The atmosphere would have been fantastic w/o #1 & #2. They have live music, it was a lovely jazzy duo, which I would have enjoyed much more, had I not been more interested in the game 😀

The service, though, was great. The servers kept their calm & coo (& kept apologizing for the inconveniences & delays)l, ours was very friendly & made perfect suggestions for both food & drinks. We will return in the fall, to enjoy the patio.

The host who sat us was wonderful! The waitress was cranky & in a rush for our orders. My husband's fried fish was cooked in advanced & not very hot, my smoked meat sandwich was the size of a small slider! The French fries were very good!

Mon conjoint & moi avions réservé une table pour deux à 20h samedi soir dernier, toutefois lorsque nous sommes arrivés nous n'avions pas de place réservée. Nous nous sommes retrouvés à côté du chansonnier sur une minuscule table & tellement à l'étroit que nous étions inconfortables pour manger. La nourriture & le service était ok mais résultat de l'expérience: plutôt décevante. Dommage car le Pub St-Alexandre est une institution… pour nous de seras la dernière visite.
