About

Located in the heart of the Quartier Petit Champlain, the brand new “sports chalet” Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub offers a menu of Quebec flavours in a warm, shack-like setting.

The kitchen brigade promotes local products and is seduced by the wood stove to prepare delicious pieces of meat and delicious pizzas. The menu blends perfectly with the cottage concept by proposing the "comfort food". The Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub has on its board of classic Québécois dishes reinvented.

A pub, nothing more, nothing less. The atmosphere is casual & exactly what you'd expect. The wood-fired pizza was a highlight - crisp crust, great flavor. The French onion soup, however, didn't quite win us over, & the poutine just didn't hit the spot.

We went in the afternoon on a Tuesday, after the normal lunch time. Our service was prompt & polite.

We ordered the French onion soup, beet salad, & the poutine. We were allowed to order a small/kids poutine, even though both my dining partner & I are adults, which was nice of our waiter.

Both the poutine & beet salad were good & I would order those dishes again. The French onion soup was very salty. It was too salty for my dining companion & barely tolerable for me. Keep this in mind if you decide to order the soup.

The restrooms are also clean, & it is conveniently located.

Overall, I would come here again!

We liked it so well, we went back again. The poutine was tasty & the cheese didn't melt into the fries so that the consistency was good from start to finish. The Duck wings (maple/soy) were amazing. Very good French Onion soup. Excellent service.

Very nice outdoor seating. We got a few appetizers to share-nachos, poutine, beet salad, duck wings. I got the French onion soup which was just as good as everyone else says. Would recommend this spot for a casual dinner with a nice atmosphere

We had the buffalo chicken pizza & the French onion soup. Both were amazing but that pizza stole my heart. Flavors bursting & perfectly cooked. The staff was respectful & attentive.

Had dinner here with my son on our last night in QC. We made reservations online for 5pm. We were greeted right away & seated immediately even though we were early. The man hosting was very warm & friendly, as was our server. I speak very little French & that was met with kindness & proficiency in English that was greatly appreciated. Our server was very attentive & helpful. We started with the duck wings & beet salad. The duck wings were very good. As was the beet salad but even though it looks small it's loaded with beets & best to be shared. My son hates beets so I was on my own! lol! I had a local IPA on tap that was very good & discounted due to happy hour which was a nice surprise. I also had the beef cheek pizza & my son got the Mac n cheese. Both were delicious. Then we shared the crème brûlée & the brownie for dessert. Both were absolutely delicious! But the brownie especially was amazing. We definitely picked a winner for our last night in old town.

The pub had good atmosphere in a quaint area of Old Quebec City. Service was good but the food disappointed. We had what was touted as the "best French onion soup in town" but if it was I'd be scared to try the other ones in town. It was salty & over priced ($13). The soup of the day - creamy Tomato was decent ($7). The Brooklyn pepperoni pizza was also disappointing - It was salty & soggy ($22). It's sad when the best part of your meal is the beer 🍺.

We were here for beer & French onion soup, both were good, but the star of the show was the person working there. She was so friendly & made a few recommendations for beer. This place is on a fun street with lots of traffic, I would recommend it for dinner or just a beer. It's a very casual place.
