Located in the heart of the Quartier Petit Champlain, the brand new “sports chalet” Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub offers a menu of Quebec flavours in a warm, shack-like setting.
The kitchen brigade promotes local products and is seduced by the wood stove to prepare delicious pieces of meat and delicious pizzas. The menu blends perfectly with the cottage concept by proposing the "comfort food". The Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub has on its board of classic Québécois dishes reinvented.

A nice little find in Old Quebec City. Right along a street aligned with colorful umbrellas, this restaurant is one to stop for. We had the gravlax, duck wings & sausage pasta - but the showstopper was the Mac N Cheese. Our two youngest children (12 & 15) raved about it.
I recently had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant & wanted to share my thoughts. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt warm & inviting. I visited with my baby son, who was in a stroller, & the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They even offered to heat up his baby food, which was a thoughtful gesture & made us feel very welcome as a young family.
As for the food, everything we tried was excellent. I ordered the duck wings in soy sauce, onion soup, & the beet salad. The duck wings were tender & coated in a rich, slightly sweet soy glaze that was full of flavor. The onion soup was hearty & comforting, with a deep broth & a perfectly melted cheese topping. The beet salad was fresh & vibrant, with a good balance of earthy sweetness & acidity. Each dish was well-prepared & presented with care.
Service was friendly, efficient, & attentive without being intrusive. It's not always easy finding places that are both baby-friendly & serve high-quality food, but this restaurant checked all the boxes. I'd definitely return & highly recommend it to others-especially families.
Première visite dans ce restaurant, & pas la dernière. La nourriture était excellente, saveur, portion & température. Le service très sympathique. En plus d'y retourner lors d'une prochaine visite dans la vieille capitale, je recommande.
We recently visited Q de Sac & had a mixed experience. First, please note that even if you make a prior reservation, it's only for indoor seating - they do not take appointments for the patio, which wasn't clearly communicated in advance.
Also, we were surprised to find that the food menu has recently changed, but this update hasn't been reflected online. The current menu is extremely limited - not even a full page of options - which was quite disappointing.
That said, the food we ordered was tasty & well-prepared, so no complaints there. If you're not too picky about variety & you're okay with indoor seating only, the food itself is worth a try. But we definitely hope they improve the menu & communication going forward.
We sit indoor. Food is good, taste is wonderful, we order Stracciatella Pizza, Onion soup, sausage paste & Cesar salad. Waiter is very nice & provide good services, can recommend & try.
