Located in the heart of the Quartier Petit Champlain, the brand new “sports chalet” Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub offers a menu of Quebec flavours in a warm, shack-like setting.
The kitchen brigade promotes local products and is seduced by the wood stove to prepare delicious pieces of meat and delicious pizzas. The menu blends perfectly with the cottage concept by proposing the "comfort food". The Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub has on its board of classic Québécois dishes reinvented.

Q de Sac is widely appreciated as a charming and cozy destination in Old Quebec, known for its lively atmosphere and the inviting scent of its wood-fired oven. Guests frequently praise the high quality of comfort food, with many highlighting the signature French onion soup, wood-fired pizzas, duck wings, and poutine as standout dishes. The service is consistently described as friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making it a favorite spot for both locals and travelers to enjoy a meal or a drink while watching sports. Whether seated on the picturesque patio or within the warm interior, patrons find it to be a reliable and memorable dining experience that keeps them coming back.
Add this restaurant to your travel plans when in QC. Great, chef inspired dishes that aren't geared towards tourists. Authentic Putttine, steak & tuna tartare are some highlights. Make sure you have a reservation during peak times & when outdoor dining no longer is available.
The pub had good atmosphere in a quaint area of Old Quebec City. Service was good but the food disappointed. We had what was touted as the "best French onion soup in town" but if it was I'd be scared to try the other ones in town. It was salty & over priced ($13). The soup of the day - creamy Tomato was decent ($7). The Brooklyn pepperoni pizza was also disappointing - It was salty & soggy ($22). It's sad when the best part of your meal is the beer 🍺.

Sharing as a Philly fan in Quebec during playoff season. Bartender put on game 3. Great little place! Despite the fact they didn't have my preferred wine, I loved it. Except for the hills. But that's not the restaurants fault. Great draft beer. Great pate. Best beet salad north of Philadelphia IMHO. If you're too full or too tired or too drunk after your stay just hop on the funicular. Because of the hills. Also funicular gets funnier the drunk you get. Cheers!
We were here for beer & French onion soup, both were good, but the star of the show was the person working there. She was so friendly & made a few recommendations for beer. This place is on a fun street with lots of traffic, I would recommend it for dinner or just a beer. It's a very casual place.
As an english speaking knuckle dragger, I appreciated the charm & sophistication of this pub. From the beautiful patio into the warm, cozy, wood fire heated indoor seating area, this place is done right. As a young lad I spent some times at my Grandparent's home, they had a wood burning stove, the warmth coming off of the stove was nothing short of an emotional experience, to this day I crave the dry, cozy heat of a wood fire. Maybe the nostalgia of a wood fire has compromised my ability to write a fair review, but the review is mine to write & the emotional support fire wins. We ate a piece of burger, got the buffalo mac n cheese & the duck wings. The food was adequate, it will not blow your socks off or leave your mouth wet just dreaming of it. (see my review on Gus Gus) I did enjoy the duck wings, they were the perfect texture & crispiness for me. Our server was terrific, she spoke enough english to take good care of us, she was attentive & thoughtful. Possibly my favorite part of the evening was listening to the ladies at the table next to us lamenting their man problems. At one point I heard "Screw the house, screw the dog, screw Brandon, I'm never going back there. I'm not sure who Brandon is or if I should feel bad for him or not, however as a drama enthusiast it was hard to focus on my duck wings & cider beer.
Très bonne carte! La soupe a l'oignon est très gourmande & les linguines excellentes goût très fin, le service est rapide & l ambiance très pub! Il est bien situé on peut se garer pas loin! Je recommande entre amis!
Poutine was pretty meh. Great location & ambience, but my experience was pretty lacklustre. Service wasn't great. Definitely caters to tourists. Took awhile for the server to come back to me. As a restaurant, if the food isn't great, there's not really any point.
Super restau, bel emplacement ! Nous avons goûté la soupe à l'oignon, les joues de boeuf, macaroni & pizza blanche, tout était parfait. & le service également, merci :)
