The Michelangelo is one of the most acclaimed tables in Quebec. Since its opening more than 40 years ago, its owner, Nicola Cortina, has never ceased to impress with his culinary creativity, his rigor for an exceptional service and his passion for the best wines in the world. Despite all its qualities, the Michelangelo offers an affordable menu with specialties to satisfy all epicureans. The different dishes go together perfectly, respecting the vision and traditions that have made the establishment famous, even beyond our borders.

Located in the Sainte-Foy sector, near the Pierre-Laporte and Quebec bridges, the establishment was awarded “True Italian restaurant outside Italy” by none other than the President of the Italian Republic.

Nous sommes allés au bar du restaurant prendre un verre pour ensuite décider de rester pour manger. Un service extraordinaire, de la nourriture excellente, conseil vin sur la coche. Notre serveuse qui a 5 ans se service à ce restaurant, a vraiment le soucis du détails de ses clients! Encore une fois wow!

Liguini pas de sauce vraiment, trop petites crevettes sauf une, tres petits petoncles chinois. Bien ordinaires si on pense aux crevettes de Matanes & aux petoncles canadiens. 2 des 4 baguettes de pain payées 6$ etaient sec, pas mangeables. Bref compte tenu du prix assez eleve de ce restaurant je m'attendais a de la haute gastronomie

I can't believe it took me this long to discover this hidden gem in Quebec City! This Italian restaurant is an absolute delight for anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience.

From the moment you walk in, you're transported to Italy itself. The cozy ambiance, warm hospitality, & the aroma of delicious Italian dishes make you feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the food. The burrata here is simply incredible – creamy, fresh, & paired with the finest ingredients. Every bite feels like a piece of heaven. & the pasta dishes? Oh, they are to die for! Perfectly cooked, with rich, flavorful sauces that you'll be craving for days.

What's truly remarkable is that this restaurant has been serving authentic Italian cuisine for years, & their commitment to quality is evident in every dish they serve. Whether you're a pasta aficionado or simply someone who appreciates good food, you'll find something here that will tantalize your taste buds.

Now, to address the minor downsides – the only drawback is the restroom facilities. The toilettes can be a bit tricky to flush, which has led to some unflushed toilets in the ladies' room. It would be great if they could improve this aspect.

Another small suggestion would be regarding the television. While I understand the desire to cater to sports enthusiasts, the constant sports programming can sometimes feel out of place in such a high-end restaurant. Perhaps they could consider displaying scenes of Italy instead & save the sports for special events like the Super Bowl.

But don't let these minor points deter you. This restaurant offers an exceptional Italian dining experience that's hard to beat. S

The toilets in the women's restroom aren't consistently flushed due to the difficulty in pushing the button, & having sports playing on the TV while dining gives the impression of being at a sports bar. It might be a good idea to replace the sports imagery with images of Italy & reserve sports broadcasts for special events like the Super Bowl or tournaments, advertising them accordingly. Additionally, consider relocating the sports TV to the bar area. Aside from these points, everything else was excellent!

Absolument notre restaurant favoris à Québec!! A chaque voyage à Québec on y fait un arrêt la nourriture est excellente le service hots pair & même le chef nos fait des demandes spéciale ils mérites leurs étoiles 🌟 très belle équipe & propriétaire sérieux depuis de très nombreuses années merci encore

I loved everything. It was a lovely addition to provide the sample of the veal bite (I loved it!). We really enjoyed our meal. I wish there was an exceptional Italian restaurant in Ottawa of this caliber.

Everything was perfect. Everyone was kind & made sure we understood the menu. The service was impeccable -attentive without being intrusive. The food was perfect - we had snails, a mixed salad & entrees of the Michelangelo veal (four kinds, perfect) & the carbonara (abundant). We ended with a chocolate tartuffo (sinful) & the peaches in liqueur (light & refreshing). We really enjoyed the meal, the service & the atmosphere & heartily recommend it.
