Review Summary

Bagel Maguire Café is a popular local destination known for its freshly baked, high-quality bagels that can be seen being prepared on site in a wood-fired oven. The menu offers a variety of tasty breakfast options, including bagel sandwiches, smoothies, and flavorful coffee, all served in an eclectic and cozy atmosphere. While the establishment is frequently busy and often draws a crowd, the staff members are generally recognized for being friendly, welcoming, and helpful to both French and English speakers. Guests often appreciate the efficient service and the genuine experience of visiting a bustling, authentic neighborhood spot.

Located in a very quaint area. We were seated right away. Although my French is limited, the server was very welcoming & explained that the menu was in French but explained it throughly. Surprisingly upon entering is the huge brick wood burning oven that's pumping out freshly baked sesame seed bagels. I ordered the l'aissette brunch. It came with all the meats (bacon, sausage, capres, pulled pork - yes, pulled pork!). My wife had the smoked salmon benedict. All breakfast platters come with their signature bagel & a dollop of cream cheese aka schmear. Included with the meal was refilable filtered coffee.

The ambience is rustic. Menu was drawn out in chalk above. Everything was made fresh. Sorry, no pictures taken because the food was too good.

Not sure how anyone could rate this place below 4 stars! We spent the morning at the Nord spa down the road then came here to get fill of food & coffee! Great place to eat, the smell when you walk in gets the juices flowing! Service very friendly & quick. The food tasted amazing & good selection to choose from. Loved the large bagel oven!

We went for the home made bagels but the service, coffee & fries were fantastic as well. It's worth going out of your way to get here.

The food tasted ok but the price was high & the portion was small. The service was slow & you had to wait for water & coffee.

Great little local bagel place on a cute little main street. Our brunch was delicious but our coffees were not very hot. We're from Montreal & I have to say that Montreal bagels are better. But overall a great place to eat.

Sunday noon was very chaotic, too many people & not enough employees. No one checked client Covid passports. The terrace was open...sort of. We had to order our food inside & then take it outside to eat. Tables outside not cleared off or cleaned. Food orders missing cutlery & sugar & cream for coffee. Those waiting for their orders blocked the entrance way for incoming clients & those leaving. Won't go back again u less it's just for takeout coffee.
