De loin au-delà de nos attentes, pour un restaurant d'hôtel avec un menu fourre-tout. La bavette de boeuf était exceptionnelle & les côtes levées remarquables.
Un dessert inusité & recommandé: les nems chauds fourrés à la crème de framboises.
On y retourne!

**Nourriture ordinaire** . J'ai opté pour le poulet du Général Tao. Je comprends que Le Batifol ne soit pas un restaurant asiatique dont le poulet du Général Tao serait une spécialité, mais tant qu'à mettre le plat au menu, on devrait s'assurer de la qualité. Donc... le poulet semblait être un produit congelé. La texture du poulet était correct, mais la panure était molle & sans goût, laissant croire que les morceaux de poulet avaient déjà passé à la friteuse depuis un certain temps & reposaient depuis dans un réchaud. La cuisson & la texutre du riz laissait croire à du riz'Uncle Ben's'. Les légumes étaient quant à eux croustillants. Toutefois, la sauce, élément principal d'un poulet du Général Tao, était fade & sans goût, sans le piquant & les parfums que l'on retrouve généralement dans ce type de plat. Probablement une sauce achetée (non fait maison).

La personne qui m'accompagnait a quant à elle opté pour un burger. La boulette de viande se défaisait toute seule & le tout semblait difficile à manger. Le burger était un peu sec. Les accompagnements (frites & salade de chou) étaient bien. La personne n'a pas terminé son burger qu'elle a également trouvé ordinaire.

Prenez note : Si vous êtes amateur de négroni ou de tout cocktail nécessitant du Campari, sachez que le Batifol ne tient pas de Campari à son bar. On vous préparera donc un négroni avec un alcool de remplacement. Pas mauvais. Mais ce n'est pas un négroni. À près de $15/drink, j'aime bien avoir l'original.

**Very ordinary food.** I chose the General Tao chicken. I understand that Le Batifol is not an Asian restaurant where General Tao chicken would be a signature dish, but if you're going to put it on the menu, you should at least ensure a certain level of quality.

The chicken itself seemed to be a frozen product. The texture of the meat was acceptable, but the breading was soft & flavorless, giving the impression that the chicken pieces had been fried some time earlier & left sitting in a warming tray. The rice also seemed similar to'Uncle Ben's' rice in both texture & preparation. The vegetables, on the other hand, were nicely crisp.

However, the sauce, which is arguably the most important element of General Tao chicken, was bland & lacked character. It was missing the spice, sweetness, & aromatic flavors typically associated with this dish. It tasted like a store-bought sauce rather than one made in-house.

**The service was excellent!**

The décor was somewhat unattractive & & a bit cold. The atmosphere was decent, but nothing particularly memorable.

The person who accompanied me chose a burger. The beef patty was falling apart on its own, making the burger somewhat difficult to eat. Overall, the burger was a bit dry. The sides, however, namely the fries & coleslaw, were quite good.
My companion did not finish the burger & also found it rather ordinary & unremarkable.

**One thing to note:** if you're a fan of Negronis, or of any cocktail that requires Campari, be aware that Batifol does not keep Campari at its bar. They will prepare a Negroni using a substitute spirit instead. It's not bad, but it isn't really a Negroni. At close to $15/drink, I like to have the real thing.

Excellent service de Antony & excellentes assiettes en quantité & qualité. Par contre en raison d'un groupe les panneaux étaient fermés ce qui faisait augmenter la température de notre côté exposé au soleil.

Belle expérience. C'est un endroit Sympathique où l'on peut jaser à notre goût sans être bousculé. Notre serveur était excellent.

Toujours un beau resto bien agréable. Pour le choix dans le menu, il peut satisfaire tout le monde & c'est vraiment bon. C'est mon resto préféré pour les brunchs.
