Stopped by for a coffee on a Saturday morning while wandering around Quebec City & ended up staying way longer than planned. Got the cafe au lait & a pastry, & the server behind the counter was genuinely friendly even with the weekend rush lining up out the door. The little tables by the window are perfect for people watching while the old town starts to wake up. Small spot, big charm, already thinking about going back next time I am in town.

Les oeufs bénédictines étaient tièdes froid. Le café latté tiède pas de Mousse de lait. On nous a donné le smootti à notre petit fils en dédommagements. Bon, c'est une bonne attention. Par contre si j'avais dit que mon assiette était froide, on m'en aurait fait une autre. Je penses que j'aurais dû avoir mon plat gratuit.

Alors que plusieurs restaurants perdent en qualité & gagnent en prix, le Café du Monde reste une valeur sûr à Québec, du moins pour nous. Foie de veau au Porto & moules au Pastis étaient excellents. Service amicale & impeccable.

L'accueil de l'hôtesse & de la serveuse étaient impeccables .Elles ont été particulièrement attentionnées. En ce qui me concerne les petits pains pour les oeufs bénédictines étaient très durs. Les autres convives ont apprécié leur plats ( l'assiette Café du monde ,pain doré & bénédictines avec saumon fumé). Pour ce qui est de l'ambiance, très bruyant.

J'ai aimé ka belle vue sur le fleuve, beau cadre & propre.le stationnement est payant, la cuisine est singulière au restaurant café du monde. on a eu de belles recommandations de plats de la part de celle qui s occupait de nous. merci

Le Café du Monde a beaucoup changé depuis mes premières visites. Personnellement, je trouve que les prix sont maintenant assez élevés par rapport à l'expérience culinaire offerte. D'autres clients pourraient avoir une opinion différente, mais ce n'est plus tout à fait ce que j'appréciais auparavant.

I recently visited Café du Monde for dinner & found both the restaurant's standard & service to be highly questionable.
We ordered a medium-rare steak that arrived well-cooked, & when I questioned it, the waitress was dismissive & insisted the dish was correct.
Although they did eventually remake the steak, the initial reaction & how we were treated ruined the dining experience, making it feel like they didn't value us as customers. We still left a tip because we believe in compensating for service, but the overall experience was deeply disappointing & left a very negative impression of the restaurant.

Stumbled in here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon after a long walk through the old city, & the place immediately felt like exactly what a good cafe should be. The cappuccino was properly made, none of that over-extracted bitterness you find in tourist-trap spots nearby, & the croque-monsieur that came out of the kitchen was genuinely satisfying. Staff were attentive without hovering, refilling my water without being asked, which is a small thing but tells you a lot about how a place is run. If you find yourself near the Old Port on a grey afternoon, this is where you want to be sitting.
