Review Summary

Chocolaterie de l'Ile d'Orléans is widely regarded as a must-visit destination that offers an exceptional variety of high-quality chocolates and renowned soft-serve ice cream with indulgent chocolate dips. Visitors frequently praise the charming atmosphere, beautiful surroundings near the water, and the relaxing outdoor seating areas. While the establishment is celebrated for its delicious offerings and scenic location, the high level of popularity often leads to significant crowds, limited parking, and occasional long wait times. Experiences with service are generally positive and friendly, though some guests have noted inconsistencies, particularly regarding the atmosphere during peak hours or interactions at the counter.

Grab your ice cream & take a short walk across the street. Enjoy it with a beautiful view of the city.

Overrated. The chocolate is overpriced & does not taste good. Didn't like their ice cream either. Definitely not worth visiting.

The place is very crowded. Ice cream is ok. Parking is always full. However, there is a nice walking street across from this place that is worth visiting-very beautiful.

Super nice ice creams in a country vibe setting. Locally made, fairly priced - no doubt they are so popular!

Went to the ice cream shop, which is open until 8pm, as the chocolaterie closes at 5pm. We were not disappointed. The ice cream were delicious & my kids really enjoyed their choices. We sat in the front lawn where there are rocking chairs. A must quick stop.

The ice cream itself was honestly very good, which makes this review disappointing to write. Unfortunately, the experience was affected by the service.

The staff was cold, not welcoming, & there was no smile or warmth at all. I asked if it was possible to add chocolate on top of my ice cream, & I was initially told no. A moment later, I saw another customer being served with chocolate on top, so I asked again. Then I was told that they'needed to know in advance,' yet in the end it was added anyway. So clearly it was possible from the beginning without making things awkward.

What also surprised me was being asked for a tip after such minimal & unfriendly service. Tips should come naturally from a pleasant customer experience, good attitude, & effort toward clients.

Again, the dessert itself was excellent, but the atmosphere & service really need improvement.
