Chicken Caesar salad was awesome, freshly grilled chicken with a great dressing , also the chicken fajitas were excellent, I recommend this place for a nice atmosphere & great food & a great price
We had such a great time at this micro brewery! The food was great, took it a little longer to come out but it was worth the wait. We ordered a pitcher of rosé sangria which we loved! & we couldn't get over the fact that a flight of 5 beers, which you get to choose, only cost $13 regular & $9 on Saturday! Our waitress was great accommodating to us by speaking English. The overall atmosphere of this place was so neat & we'd recommend it as a fun place to stop by!!
Started with great service. I asked in French if they spoke English & the waiter immediately dropped down to English. I used'dropped down' because for this Province, French is first. This area is very protective of their culture. I don't blame them. It's one of the main reasons we can't be 51.
I ordered a flight of beers with a variety of tastes. They were on par to expections. I enjoy IPA's. They were out of the double IPA. DAM! The Toutueuse an American IPA was mild. They didn't have any IBU's published.
The disappointment was the food.
I had the Smoke meat. Came with slaw; fries, pickle & a finger sized sandwich of smoke meat. To me, this was shrinkflation at its worst. The meat was an inch thick on 2 inch slices of baguette. The fries were the leftovers of the frier. Small burnt offering. Look at the space left on the plate. I understand a decision has to be made on waste vs. profit. They chose profit. To management is, this what u want or do need to train the chef?
The slaw was a finely chopped taste of mayonnaise.
Service was great.
Beer was okay.
Food oh well 2 out of 3.
June 2023 This is one of the best eat out experiences I have ever had. Our server was chatty, informative & a fabulous waiter. He was from France. There must be dome type of work abroad program in effect here in Montmagny as he was not the only person we met from France & in Montmagny working. We couldn't decide on what type of beer to order. He suggested one that was only available on tap & could not be purchased in cans or growlers to take home. He quickly brought us all a sample, & we ended up ordering a pitcher. It was delicious. Our food was tasty, but the portions were small. A hungry person would have needed to order something extra. There is a nice large patio on the second level of the restaurant. We ate inside as that day it was like a hurricane. Very windy, & everything was toppling over outside. A great experience dining in Montmagny. There was a schedule posted for live entertainment, but we were not there on one of those dates.
We had a great lunch here! When we arrived, they were actively brewing a new batch of beer, which made the whole place smell delightful. As soon as we sat down, the barman brought us a small, free sample which was amazing! I had the flight with 5 separate beers. All of which were amazing. I also purchased one beer for takeaway & it somehow tasted even better that evening. The real standout though, was the barman. He told us he moved from France about 2 years ago. His knowledge on the beer & the area was impeccable. Would 100% recommend & go back.
We stopped here during a drive for dinner. The food was delicious & the beer was great. Our server was funny, friendly & professional. Overall a great experience!
Far & away one of the most pleasant experiences these two anglophone travellers have had at a microbrewery.
A varied & delicious selection of beers, combined with its unique architecture & incredibly friendly service left an impression on us that not only made us think fondly of the microbrewery, but the city of Montmagny as a whole!
Merci encore à tous les gens qui travaillent ici & merci encore à notre serveuse, Mégan, pour avoir tolérer nos essais à parler en français !
A lovely city along the Saint Lawrence/Fleuve Saint-Laurent. If you happen upon here as a traveller, I cannot recommend this microbrewery strongly enough.
