Surprisingly, my AI assistant strongly advised me'not to waste your time stopping in this area.' But when I explained that I'd like to take a *halte routiere* at about this point in my route, it suggested ES Café à Lévis instead of a chain.

What a gem! The coffee was excellent, the food choice was great, & the service was incredibly smooth. It stood in stark contrast to a recent, chaotic experience at the'brand-name' coffee shop inside Hotel Lévesque in Rivière-du-Loup, which proves that the modern chain model just isn't working anymore. ES Café was a 30-minute oasis of hospitality.

Strategic advice for ES owners: Look into expanding into Rivière-du-Loup. There is a massive gap in the market there for your exact niche, & you would instantly win over travellers & hotel guests alike.
