You know the first thing you should do when you arrive in a French town Come to the best Mexican place in town! The service was fast, incredibly friendly & with flavourful food to match. We came as a family of four & enjoyed the spicy margaritas. You can not beat the price for the quality of food & service anywhere else in Quebec (including Montreal). We have marked this as our go to whenever we come to QC from MTL. Churros were also amazing as others have noted. Loved it here.

First time customers but will definitely be back. Annabelle (young lady who served us) was absolutely great. We had a blast with her, she was fun, smilling the whole time & was really paying attention to us the whole time. We didn't really for our food as she was always there. She explained the menu clearly. The food was absolutely delicious, they proclaim "mexican inspired cuisine" & they definitely live up to it. The food was fresh, hot & was cooked with attention. The churros were absolutely delicious, we almost reordered for the road back home. We took a margarita julio, guacomole dip, sikil pak dip, tacos de birria, churros, corona, poblano & quesa birria. I usually have a big appetite but was full when we came out. It was light but still saturating. Did I mention Annabelle's great service? Awsome she is definitely enjoying her job & it shows 10/10 great service & food. Will recommend to others.

Delicious Mexican food & totally gluten free!Service was friendly & attentive, albeit slow as the place was packed when we visited. At times the noise & heat of the patrons did make the restaurant feel overwhelming. There is seating outside though for those that prefer it a little less packed. The decor was unique & I enjoyed the bright colour. Staff were very accommodating for the seniors in our group that prefer a seat with a chair back over the bench. They promptly swapped out seating to accommodate us.

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. We had the jalapeno poppers, which were gluten free & amazing; the crudo, which was delicate & wonderfully flavored; & the carnitas tacos, some of the tastiest I've had. If we had had more time in Quebec, I would've gone back a second time. The restaurant is small & modern, not a typical Mexican style decor. The service was also wonderful!

Amazing gluten free experience though you wouldn't even know it. Most Mexican food is GF anyway but Julio Taqueria is just GF, good food. My wife got the lunch special which included a taco dish (3 tacos), a side of guac with some chips & a fresca drink. She got carnitas tacos which were just right but the sauces are game changers. That orange habanero is just insanely delicious & hot 🔥! I got the Al pastor which were also really good - the pineapple balanced the heat beautifully. The chips were thick & crisp & the guac was perfect. She got the Jamaica drink though we're not sure what it was exactly, it tasted kind of cherry & was really tasty. So my wife has been GF for about 19 years now but she wasn't super adventurous before so she'd never had a churro. We ordered the churros. We loved the churros. There's a decent number of them in the bowl for $8 & they definitely need the dulce de leche to cut the greasiness. Total with tax & tip was just over $50 which, let's face it, isn't bad for 2024. Especially when you're basically guaranteed a safe GF meal. Highly recommend this place! Oh, btw, we parked on the street nearby in the 1h free parking spot & were out before the time was up. See you on the road!

I spent 70 dollars on 3 dishes, the quesabirria was very delicious, the melted cheese was also excellent, but the chilaquiles were tortilla chips bathed in green sauce with pico de gallo, where is the cheese, the cream? The flavored water was the leftover rice from the horchata, I had to add more water from the jar. Very delicious but don't miss what it really is, Mexican food

Best Mexican food in Quebec City. It was a great family experience & the staff was cheerful & helpful. Number of menu items is a little on the light side so I might gos second time but not a long term option for me as I like variety & try new stuff

Food taste is good but still far from good Mexican food. Queso fundido is not entirely cheese, it’s more like an Alfredo sauce with diced sausage on top. The Tacos de Pastor meat is not cooked in Pastor gyro or “Trompo” but is not bad. Carnitas is pulled style meat instead of chopped portions, taste was kinda sweet, not very close to the expected flavor. Quesabirrias were lack of taste but they weren’t terrible.

Signature drinks are very good. Most cocktails have very tasty rims & balanced flavors, except for the Michelada Verde, we didn’t like it at all.

The waiter was not nice. He seemed annoyed with our questions about food, It didn’t seem he knew very much about the ingredients, maybe he was having a bad day.

Check was $230. Very expensive for the portions/quality received.

The food quality was good, but a little overpriced by about 60%. It is just Mexican Street food & should be priced at that level.
