I like this place. I tried their breakfast poutine, & it was great. Also a nice place to have your morning coffee. Clean , spacious, polite staff, great food. Recommended!🇨🇦
Nice restaurant. Quick service & tasty breakfast/brunch. We ordered an oatmeal & a breakfast sandwich with small poutine. Both dishes were copious & flavorful. Beverages are ok. Service is quick, kind, & fast. We stayed at the hotel one night & we definitely considered this restaurant as a highlight of that stay.
My husband & I went for breakfast while staying at the hotel February 3, we knew it would likely be busy given it was Carnaval time, but we were very excited nevertheless. Our waitress wasn't exactly cheerful when seating us, she sat us in a main walkway just outside of the kitchen. My husband kept getting bumped by staff & customers, & even got smacked by a baby highchair that a server was bringing to another table. There was a waterfall behind me that was very loud & on top of that it was loud due to the business. We ordered right away & received our coffee & tea relatively quick. Then we finished our drinks before our food arrived because it was taking quite some time, the coffee was free refills but our server only came back around once to refill the cup. Our food finally arrived & it was excellent, very delicious, I had the breakfast sandwich (contents were great, & the potatoes were delightful, the bun was a little stale but acceptable). Then our waitress went MIA, it had been like 40 minutes, at one point I saw her flipping chairs accross the room in the bar, maybe to close off an area. Then I made eye contact with her after she sat another table, she gave me a nod & I thought she'd be coming over. We had stacked the plates nicely & sorted everything for her. She never came back to the table. We were just waiting & waiting, so finally I got up & asked a waiter that was walking by if they could help us get the bill. I dont know where our waitress came from but she very quickly came over & snapped at me, "you can see we are very busy!", before I could say anything she turned away to the kitchen & as she was turning she made a face. I felt bad that she felt overwhelmed, but we couldn't wait around all day, we had activities to get to & we had finished our food long ago. She came back with the bill & POS machine moments later with the same attitude. Maybe she lost track of time with our table, but we were finished all of our food & drinks for quite some time, I didn't mean to offend her & I wasn't even mad, we were just seeking assistance to be able to leave. We intended on going back for breakfast each morning, but now I feel weird about it & definitely don't want to go back down there.
Fast & great service. Food portion is big & taste good. Maybe because I'm from another province. Was expecting a bit more options for breakfast/brunch.
We had a very good breakfast. The coffee kept on coming, our food was good & the waitress was always asking if everything was alright. The only strange thing was that at the end when another waitress would put the new napkins & cutlery on the table before cleaning it with a cloth or something. When we told her that the table was still dirty with maple syrup, butter & jam, she just said that she will wipe it afterwards. We didn't understand the logic in that but she was convinced that's the correct sequence of doing things.
