Restaurant Le Marie Beaupré (formerly named Marie Antoinette) is strategically located in the heart of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, just 300 meters from the Basilica and within 5 km of Mont-Sainte-Anne. Our team is celebrating its 35th anniversary. Excellent service! Notre serveuse Marie a été vraiment incroyable, super sympathique, souriante & très attentionnée. Elle a rendu notre diner encore plus agréable ! La nourriture quebecoise était excellente & le service impeccable. On va certainement revenir! Je recommande fortement ce restaurant! 🔥
Musique anglaise mur à mur encore une fois comme dans la plupart des endroits publics du Québec. Impossible pour les Étatsuniens de découvrir notre culture.

Today, I don't really want to talk about the food - although, honestly, it was some of the best food we had during our entire Quebec trip, & surprisingly affordable compared to many of the fancier places we visited. What really made this restaurant unforgettable for us was something much more special: the kindness of the people.
On the last day of our Quebec trip, after visiting Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, my wife & I were extremely hungry & stopped here for a quick lunch before starting our drive back home to Toronto. We had a wonderful meal & left in a bit of a hurry, hoping to get ahead of the traffic.
What we didn't realize was that BOTH of us had left our sunglasses behind at the restaurant! 😅
The worst part? We didn't even notice until FOUR DAYS later, when we were already back home in Toronto! After trying to remember everywhere we had been, it finally clicked that we must have left them here. They were both expensive pairs, so we honestly thought there was very little chance of getting them back.
We called the restaurant, & to our huge relief, they had safely kept them for us. My wife spoke with a gentleman named Jean, & what happened next genuinely touched us.
Within an hour, they had carefully packed both pairs of sunglasses & sent them to us by EXPRESS shipping! We repeatedly offered to pay for the shipping, but they simply refused to take anything from us.
A few days later, the package arrived. The glasses were packed with so much care that both pairs reached us without even a scratch.
It may sound like a small gesture, but to us it meant so much. They had absolutely no obligation to go through all that trouble for two tourists who had already left the city. Yet they took the time to keep our belongings safe, carefully pack them, pay for express shipping, & make sure they reached us safely.
Food can make you remember a restaurant, but kindness like this makes you remember the people. ❤?
