What brought us back here the second time? The food - & the service!
We visited Les Épices Grillées twice during our stay in Québec, & both experiences were amazing. On our first visit, we absolutely loved the generous portion of the mutton biryani, chicken fried rice with tandoori chicken, & chicken kebab - everything was flavorful, fresh, & very satisfying.
We returned again & tried the garlic naan, lamb jalfrezi, & chicken Madras - & once again, the food did not disappoint. Rich flavors, great spice levels, & truly comforting food.
A special mention to the person who took our order both times (we unfortunately forgot to ask his name!) - he really understood our taste preferences & guided us so well with recommendations. The service was warm, attentive, & genuinely welcoming.
Amazing food, very good service, & definitely one of the highlights of our Québec trip. Highly recommend!
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was honestly the worst I've had in a long time-I can't even imagine how it was served to customers. The taste was completely off, ingredients didn't feel fresh, & the overall quality was far below expectations.
On top of that, the presentation was poor & the dishes didn't match what was described on the menu. It felt like there was no attention to detail or care in preparing the food.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not worth the money or the visit.
Très belle découverte au restaurant Les Épices Grillées ! J'ai pris l'assiette aux crevettes avec riz, salade & légumes & c'était absolument délicieux. Les crevettes étaient parfaitement assaisonnées & tout était très frais.
Les portions sont extrêmement généreuses. J'ai mangé à ma faim & il me restait encore presque la moitié de mon assiette, que j'ai pu rapporter à la maison. C'est vraiment appréciable de trouver un restaurant qui offre de grandes portions, de bons prix & une excellente qualité.
Le personnel est très charmant & le service est attentionné. On se sent bien accueilli & l'expérience est vraiment agréable.
Si vous cherchez un bon restaurant avec des plats savoureux, des portions généreuses & un bon service, je recommande Les Épices Grillées sans hésitation.

I visited this establishment yesterday & unfortunately had a very poor experience. The food was significantly below expectations-it was bland, lacked any depth of flavor, & felt like low-quality preparation.
Specifically, the mutton was nearly inedible. It was extremely chewy & appeared to be a very poor cut of meat. For a restaurant specializing in grilled spices, the lack of seasoning was surprising.
Furthermore, I found the staff to be misleading regarding the authentic origins of their recipes & background. When I asked for details about the regional style of the food, the information provided was inconsistent & dishonest. Authenticity & transparency are key when serving ethnic cuisine, & I felt let down on both fronts. I will not be returning & cannot recommend this spot given the current meat quality & lack of honesty.
