Review Summary

Les Gamines is widely celebrated as a cozy and charming destination, noted for its unique atmosphere within a beautiful, rustic building that feels like a welcoming home. Most visitors praise the creative and delicious food, particularly the hearty waffles and breakfast dishes, complemented by high-quality coffee. While the majority of guests highlight the friendly service and warm, relaxed ambiance as perfect for a weekend brunch, a minority have expressed frustration regarding inconsistent service standards, occasional long wait times, and concerns about the application of house rules. Despite some mixed experiences with staff interactions and pricing, the general consensus describes the cafe as a delightful, quaint gem that offers a memorable culinary experience away from the city.

We've waited for 20+ min for our coffee & muffin & 45+ min for our food. The barista/waitress/cashier/takeout person (all in one person) was not very friendly & made us feel to never want to return to this place. The food & ambience were good, but the customer service was terrible. She told us remove shoes, but there were multiple other guests wearing their winter shoes inside (she saw this). Double standars! Not sure if this was because we don't speak French? We left tip & were nice to her, obviously this was not enough to be treated well.

Food was good, but aint cheap to say the least. If I was the owner of this joint, I'd fire all the waitresses because of their attitude. If there was passive-aggressive contest, they'd take the price. At the entrance (-2F outside) was asked to remove my shoes (including my son who's 7), but some guests went in without taking their shoes off. When asked whether everyone needed to take their shoes off, was told yes. But when pointed out that others are wearing them, the lady just simply smiled. Interior is somewhat cozy, but old & in need of remodeling badly. Oh & the last but not least prepare to wait at least 45 minutes for your food to be brought out. Fisrt & last time visiting.

Delicious & cozy! I was hesitant at first, because it looks like it's just someone's house- & absolutely is. Go inside & take your shoes off, then order at the counter. Menu's are at the counter. Seat yourself, then they'll bring it out to you. It's so cozy & welcoming, with way more seating that I realized. I didn't know couches & wood stove & big tables were an option until I went to the restroom, because I'd sat outside on the porch.
