Maybe it was because we arrived late (an hour before closing time) but food was not the best. The biggest issue being that items that we expected to be really hot were lukewarm at best. For example, my husband orders an onion soup & although tasty, it wasn't very hot. It was worse with his chilli dish though - that was basically room temperature & for also tasted sweet, when he was expecting it to be more in the savory side. I had a salad, so temperature wasn't a problem, but for a $22+ salad I was hoping for better ingredients. All in all, unfortunately I wouldn't come back here.

My friends are I took a day trip to Quebec City as we were in Montreal for vacation. We ate there for dinner. I got the Quebec burger & it was very good! The fries were excellent as well. The maple & rosemary mayonnaise was an excellent condiment!

Overall atmosphere was good, burger was good. However, to charge $19 for a French onion soup & sell a poor soup in Quebec City is an embarrassment. Please remove the soup off the menu, if you can't make a good French onion soup.
Les Côte de Frere, which is a 2 min walk away has much better atmosphere, & their soup is $14 & amazing!

We stopped in at 3pm for a bite & was pleasantly greeted by staff that spoke French, English & Spanish. A friendly polyglot. The service was outstanding & she was very patient with us.

We shared the Quebec burger that comes with the 1608 cheese & side of fries. They have a variety of dipping sauces & we chose the maple & rosemary mayo (delish) & ketchup.
The burger was AMAZING! Absolutely dripping with juice when we cut into it. There was a smear of maple jam under the patty that gave it a hint of sweetness that paired well with the salty cheese. The bun soaked up the juices nicely & wasn't too heavy.
I would definitely come back for the burger!
