We were disappointed with our experience. The atmosphere felt hectic & disorganized, & the service was inconsistent throughout the meal. There were very long gaps between courses & even between items we ordered together, which made the dining experience feel drawn out & uncoordinated.
We've dined at many Michelin-recommended restaurants, & we're accustomed to attentive, accommodating service. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience here. We were dining with our eight-year-old & politely asked if they could serve her plain pasta. Since pasta was already on the menu (just with sauce), we didn't think it was an unreasonable request. Rather than simply saying no, the staff rudely scoffed at the request, which made us feel unwelcome.
Service remained inattentive throughout the evening. After ordering a bottle of wine, no one came back to refill our glasses, which was surprising for a restaurant positioning itself at a higher level. Combined with the long waits & inconsistent attention from staff, it made the meal feel far less polished than expected.
We understand that every restaurant has policies & kitchen limitations, but the dismissive attitude was unnecessary. Overall, the combination of inconsistent service, long waits, poor hospitality, & lack of attention to basic details left us disappointed.
Are a delicious dinner here with fresh seasonal ingredients expertly prepared. Had a great bottle of wine expertly selected by our server. Best meal in Quebec City. Intimate atmosphere - seemed to have many locals.
I enjoyed the meal so much! Everything was incredibly flavorful & well-executed.
Recommendations:
- Duck Ham: It has a rich, lingering duck-fat aroma that stays in your mouth. It pairs beautifully with the mustard & mustard seeds.
- Razor Clam: Incredibly refreshing.
- Beef Tongue: Absolutely phenomenal. The first bite with everything together was soft & tender, boasting a delightful charcoal aroma. The shallots give it a great kick, & the potatoes were surprisingly sweet.
- Tagliatelle Verde: Perfect al-dente texture. It's wonderfully rich & creamy, especially with the whipped ricotta mixed in.
One of the most memorable meals I've had in a very long time. Two seats at the bar, six plates shared between us, every one of them absolutely delicious. Service & the pacing of courses was perfect, vibe was casual & warm, vinyl selections were on point. Thank you for a wonderful evening, Buvette Scott! Merci!

Had the most amazing meal this weekend with my dad & sister for Father's Day & had Jules as our server. He was absolutely incredible, gave us custom wine recommendations for every dish we had, was so funny & delightful, & curated an entire menu for us. Had the most memorable meal that we've had all year, & couldn't thank Jules enough for providing such a great experience.
My girlfriend & I grabbed an 8:30 PM reservation last minute thanks to a recommendation from a trusted source. With a combined 20+ years in the service industry between the two of us, we're not culinary snobs but we know the difference between a great spot & an INCREDIBLE one!
This was the single best dinning experience we've ever had. Immaculate vibes with a rotating selection of hand-picked vinyls. Smiles & laughs at every table. Jules & the rest of the staff gave us the most intimate & personal experience it felt as if we were the only ones in the restaurant who mattered. We said a few words about what we like in a grape & he found a bottle that rivaled some of the best we've ever uncorked. Then followed it up with a glass of one of his personal favorites that he knew would blow us away. & it did. We picked 5 plates that shocked our tastebuds with ingredients that were fresh, incredibly well balanced, & complimentary of each other. They were coursed perfectly so we never felt rushed but also never ignored or forgotten. If we could've then we would've stayed to help clean up, because it felt like family & we didn't want to leave.
It was a pleasure to dine with you all. We will be back!
