This is the most ambivalent review I've ever given. There wasn't anything wrong per say with the food, it was just...not memorable at all. People tend to complain when the food takes too long but what about the opposite? We ate two startes, two entrées & a dessert in a record time of less than an hour due to how fast it was. Again, it's not necessarily a problem but it felt rushed & weird. Like they wanted to rotate the tables as fast as possible even though it seemed like a chill night. The music inside the dome was an eletro-chic or whatever which made me feel as if I was inside a gym. Again, not a huge flaw or problem but doesn't help with the vibes at all. All in all I feel like 3 stars is the best I can give.
Restaurant Ophelia in Quebec City offered a lively dining experience with an impressive start; the fresh oysters & generous seafood platter were excellent, showcasing top-quality ingredients & clean, briny flavors. Unfortunately, the main course of salmon, though well-cooked, was overwhelmed by an overly heavy red pepper sauce that masked its natural delicacy. Dessert redeemed the evening with a delightful cigare au chocolat, rich & well executed. While the food had its highlights, the ambiance leaned toward the bustling side, with a crowded & noisy atmosphere that detracted from the average-above average setting.

First I will address the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable & helpful in making our choices. He answered several questions & made recommendations. At times he was swamped but his attitude was positive & professional. His command of English & French was outstanding. I inquired his name & he responded William.
If you are fortunate enough to have him as your waiter, your experience will be top notch.
We were hoping to sit outside but we had neglected reservations & we were seated indoors. The booth we were seated in was comfortable & the decor was lovely.
Our orders varied from steak, salmon, braised wagyu tagliatelle, the last being brisket & octopus.
Each was outstanding in not only flavor but presentation. For dessert we chose a chocolate mousse cigar. The picture shows its amazing creativity, but does most show the delectable taste.
Our last night in Quebec City was incredible.
Was it pricey, yes, but we felt every cent was worth this impeccable experience.
Bravo, Restaurant Ophelia!

Incredible experience at Ophelia! We were lucky to be moved into one of their beautiful domes, but the real highlight was our waiter, Gabriel. We gave him full control of our meal & he absolutely delivered-every dish he recommended was a hit. He kept saying,'Thank you for trusting me,' & it was clear how much pride he took in making our night special. The cod cheek with gnocchi was outstanding, & the hazelnut butter cream doughnut for dessert was unforgettable. Ask for Gabriel-you won't regret it!
