We had an amazing experience & dinner here. Gabriel, our server, was so personable, friendly & very attentive to details, a pleasure to deal with. Great vibes here as well. Elli has the salmon & I had steak & frites with truffle sauce, excellent! You must try the chocolate mousse cigar as well.
Ophelia… you just jumped straight to the top of our list 😍
We'd read all the rave reviews before booking, but actually experiencing it for ourselves completely lived up to the hype.
The only reservation we could snag was 4pm in the Dome (which is winter-only, by the way), & honestly? It didn't take away from the experience one bit.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm & welcoming, with a great walkthrough of the menu. Our hostess suggested a local white wine from just 10km outside the city, & wow-absolute steal at C$60.
& the food… where do I even begin? The oyster & octopus carpaccio appetizer was mind-blowingly good. The 2lb live Canadian lobster alongside steak & fries was incredible-but that lobster completely stole the show 🦞🔥
We had dinner reservations at the bar on Saturday evening- it was still full & we were graciously offered seating overlooking the bar (very cool view) & they still honored the $1 oyster deal.
Appetizers were delicious- oysters were big & fresh & the bone marrow escargot was the star of the show.
We ordered steak frites & seafood tagliatelle for mains- steak was rare instead of medium rare & pasta was watery & bland (seafood was delicious though). We sent it back & they were great about it (the second was a bit better but overall lack of flavour was still missing).
The following night we had reservations in the dome & ordered the octopus carpaccio in addition to a couple repeats. Service was great & all three dishes were excellent.
Overall, despite the mains being a bit disappointing on the first meal, service & experience was still really good that it warrants a 5 star.

une des meilleures table a Québec!!!Pour les amateurs de pieuvre wow c'est LA place...& que dire du steak wow...service wow...aucun point néguatif pour moi
I asked for Medium rare but got rare steak. Besides that, everything was fantastic! Service, oysters, everything!! The waitress asked me if I wanted my steak back on the grill, but I declined. Wasn't a big deal.
Would definitely go back
First I will address the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable & helpful in making our choices. He answered several questions & made recommendations. At times he was swamped but his attitude was positive & professional. His command of English & French was outstanding. I inquired his name & he responded William.
If you are fortunate enough to have him as your waiter, your experience will be top notch.
We were hoping to sit outside but we had neglected reservations & we were seated indoors. The booth we were seated in was comfortable & the decor was lovely.
Our orders varied from steak, salmon, braised wagyu tagliatelle, the last being brisket & octopus.
Each was outstanding in not only flavor but presentation. For dessert we chose a chocolate mousse cigar. The picture shows its amazing creativity, but does most show the delectable taste.
Our last night in Quebec City was incredible.
Was it pricey, yes, but we felt every cent was worth this impeccable experience.
Bravo, Restaurant Ophelia!
Where do I start?
Atmosphere was very modern! gothic look with a Miami flair.
Service; we were greeted with an enthusiastic host. Our server was amazing. Introduced us to a new drink Oaxacan Mezcal cocktail. Server was attentive.
Food; we ordered the seafood'Low Tide' consisted of oysters, shrimp, tuna, mussels, scallops, & octopus. We split the tomahawk steak served with root vegetables, & a baked potato, with a sour cream & chive topping.
We attended Ophelia's during the festival. If this is the'best steakhouse in Canada' they got a national crisis on their hands 😭 The filet mignon was cooked well but had zero flavor. The lobster pasta, which allegedly had some sort of sauce on it, suffered the same affliction, it tasted like plain buttered noodles with chunks of lobster. I will give credit where credit is due, the oyster & brussel sprout appetizers were amazing. The wait staff was also exceptional! But girl for the prices at this place, the entrees were very disappointing 😔. We regretted not just ordering all appetizers.
