On a vraiment aimé notre expérience chez Ophélia. Le personnel était vraiment sympathique. Nous étions deux & nous assis au bar & je n'aurais pas voulu être ailleur dans le restaurant. On avait la chance de voir ce qui se passait en cuisine & on avait aucune difficulté à se parler. Pour ce qui est du repas, tout était parfait. C'était la première fois que nous mangeions des huitres gratiné & c'était vraiment bon. La pieuvre était très bien préparé & le flanc de porc était incroyable, le gras fondait litérallement en bouche. L'assiette de boudin noir & pétoncle était succulante. Nous avons pris le dome chocolaté comme dessert & c'était vraiment wow. Bref, un sans faute pour notre visite d'hier. Je suggère fortement l'Ophélia. Bien hâte d'y retourner avec ma conjointe.
Ophelia wasn't really up to the standard of the web reviews that led us there. While the atmosphere was funky & lively, & the food was good, the experience was by no means exceptional, or as good as we've experienced elsewhere in Quebec City.
The Oysters Rockefeller were very clumsy... very small to begin with, & then the preparation was completely lost in the overcooked cheese. The filet mignon & veal cheek mains we ordered were cooked perfectly, to the temperature we ordered, the shrimp & mushrooms on the side were delicious. The Dôme Chocolat dessert was tasty though a bit too soupy. The wine list was good though didn't offer much in the way of good value wines- it leaned heavily to the upper end. Our server Jason was friendly though very casual. The bussing staff cleaning nearby tables with a strong ammonia-type solution in the middle of dinner service did not help the ambiance. We had hoped for more - but in general we had a nice time with solid food & drink.
WoW! Magnifique découverte. Le Bistro Ophelia est sans doute l'un des meilleurs restaurants où je suis allée. De l'entrée au desserts sans oublier les cocktails, tout est divin. Ambiance chaleureuse (souper dans les dômes, une expérience à vivre) & que dire du service. Merci À notre serveur Mehdi, pour son excellent service.

One of the best restaurants I have had the privilege to try, we had oysters, & the surf & turf, the rib eye was mouth melting, the presentation was absolutely amazing, great choice of wine, it's not a hit or miss eating here, all dishes & service are an absolute hit, the hiring manager knows what they're doing, highly recommend the dessert as well, cheesecake is a must have
Wow!! From the Hibiscus Fizz to the Clam Chowder, to the Surf & Turf for two....!! Just WOW!!! We ate in the dome & it was magic!! Excellent service from Anthony - friendly, discreet in taking our order, bringing us drinks & providing a detailed description of our platter! The food was divine - arrived hot, perfectly & artistically prepared! The steak melted in our mouths & the seafood was absolutely delicious!! We enjoyed every flavour profile! This was one of the BEST meals we've ever had! New York Cheesecake & coffees for dessert - what a wonderful way to end the evening!! Definitely the HIGHLIGHT of our one week trip to Quebec City!! Wow!!

Suivi d'un mixte de fruits de mer. Patte de crabes ,un homard ,des crevettes & des huîtres c'était simplement debile & & dessert la boulé fondante un pur délice & on a eu une petite attention 2 macaron avec une crème de menthe blanche le mixte était très bon & que dire de notre serveur Alexandre un chic type & toujours à notre disposition 👍👍👍👍
Our server was very bad & had his hands in his pockets like he didn't care. He was really out of place. You don't expect to have a server this disinterested & nonchalant in a high end restaurant like this. When we told him that the service was very slow & that our table looked invisible to him, he told us that this isn't a McDonalds. Well when you have a parking to get back to & that the server didn't even bring you glasses of water after 10 minutes & that the table that arrived after you is already served, you have the right to be impatient. After that, he was condescending & insulting with us. You could even see him badmouthing us & pointing us when talking at his colleagues. I have never been treated this badly by a server before. He even had the gall to ask us if we were from Lac Saint-Jean & treated us like we were some kind of freaks, asking us this 3 times after we had already told him that we were from Montreal. This was really an horrendous service. Thanks for the manager for keeping us for desserts afterwards, but I won't be coming back because I really don't want to see this server ever again. I know that restaurant personnel is hard to find, but this guy really shouldn't be serving people, because your clients won't be coming back if they're served by him. The hostess was a thousand times more professional than him, & she should definitely be serving people, because she looked the part & looked happy to be there. Stick the clown in the kitchens or for cleaning tables.
Great food & great service. Nice ambiance. Had the rib-eye & chocolate dome for dessert. Definitely recommend this restaurant if in Quebec City. Tried other restaurants in the area & Ophelia was easily the best. Reasonable prices too.!
