Disappointing. Halibut ceviche appetizer has grown on me, although it seemed bland in the beginning (the waiter's offer of pepper, however strange it seemed when he delivered the food, made sense when I tried it). Of six oysters, one tasted borderline. Somehow the delivery of food & drinks got out of sync along the way. The wait for main dish (black pudding with scallops) was long ('new brigade in the kitchen'). The pudding morsel I tried tasted delicious but all scallops were badly undercooked. I had to return it & ask for a bill. The restaurant took the disaster of the bill & gave me a discount, but the feeling of one of the nights in Quebec being wasted remains. The waiter really worked hard. Shame, but the restaurant should not depend on what brigade happens to be in the kitchen on a given night.
This was a restaurant in my list for seafood experience. The staff were very welcoming. The restaurant offers both outside & inside dining, & they both are super cozy. My experience was in the summertime, but I will go back in the winter as they have these crystal 🔮 that are heated, & you can enjoy the magical vibe of Quebec's winter.
Back to this experience, I did not take pictures of my starters, but I had Octopus Carpaccio followed by some cold servings of oysters & shrimp cocktails. I paired it with a nice rose wine. Looks like there was only one option of rose. The gentleman who was serving my table was super nice & very attentive.
For the main dish which I took a picture of, I had grilled Octopus & braised Pork Belly. I love Octopus & the dip in the dish that was in both starter & the main complimented the Octopus 🐙 very nicely. I lived it, especially in the main dish.
The dining is not complete without a dessert, so I was suggested to try Paris Brest, which was an amazing choice. The piece was a bit too much for me, & I saved the rest for the next morning. The filling was melting in the mouth🫠.

It's both bistro & intimate ,an interesting mix of seating options. We chose the upper level & it was perfect , table for two with lots of ambiance.
Our host upon arriving, was none other than Gabriel , we had reserved & he gave me the table that I had expected ( I picked from pictures on their website).
Tania was our waiter & did a an awesome job at settling us in with non alcoholic beverages.
The menu is to die for, many quality choices & my wife had the
'PIEUVRE RÔTIE & BRISKET DE BOEUF'
it was as beautiful a presentation as it was delicious.😉
I had the
' PATES CAMPANELLE AU HOMARD' it was missing a very important component but was very soon corrected by Tania , who couldn't have been more graceful about error from the kitchen staff.
We were thoroughly impressed with the whole experience, I would emphatically recommend Ophelia to those who love a nice ambiance (no chi-chi) & good food , all delivered by a kind & caring team.

The waiter Tristan was amazing & even let me practice some french. The food was delicious & we were not rushed there was plenty of time to enjoy ourselves & take in the experience of the outdoor seating.

En général un belle expérience au Restaurant Ophélia. Une belle ambiance en général dans la salle à manger intérieure. Un décor feutré & moderne. Aucune attente avec une réservation au préalable. Le personnel est très professionnel & courtois. Le service est rapide.
Les plats sont très beaux & épurés. Un menu très intéressant entre terre & mer. Les portions cependant sont moyennes pour des appétits gourmands.
Une belle cave à vin & des cocktails originaux viennent accompagnés nos plats.
Mon seul bémol serait au niveau des portions des plats qui sont à mon avis trop petits. Il y aurait un travail à faire à ce niveau quitte à augmenter un peu les prix.
Dans l'ensemble, une très belle expérience. Je recommande ce restaurant bien localisé sur la rue Grande-Allée.
