Comme toujours service & efficacité du Proprio, qui nous accueille dans son environnement bourdonnant d'activités, oui la Pizzeria des Battures est un coup de coeur & un incontournable du Bas-Saint-Laurent, ou l'on aime se retrouver plusieurs fois dans la saison avec nos ami.e.s & famille.
Beautiful location, really stunning views, & a very lovely space.
The food was also amazing & very good.
The negative, it ended up a very disappointing evening... We were made very uncomfortable by our waiter, & we felt that we were deliberately ignored, & we did not understand why. (only 2 of us, mature couple.. just looking to have a nice dinner) Other patrons who were seated nearby us were attended to quickly, & received their food while we were left to wait... & wait, & wait.... We came very close to walking out.
We placed our drink order, & that came out ok, but the food came out very sporadically.. & we'd asked to have the 2 pizzas & salad to come out all together. First the salad (an excellent Caesar salad). that we ate right away, & were told the pizzas were just going to be another 2 minutes.
10-15 minutes later, 1st pizza came.. it was cold, & then waiting another 10 minutes, the second came out. The process took a very long time, & both pizzas were cold.
We would have probably ordered another round of drinks & coffee/ dessert.. but that was not an option, we were not approached or asked if we would like anything more. Ever get the feeling you were not welcome somewhere?
Fortunately, we had a moment to speak with the owner, & he addressed the situation quickly, & made a fresh pizza (replacing one). I'd already started eating the first one, I was super hungry.. it was cold but good. The waiter came by & offered a weak apology at the end but that obviously did not make up for the evening.
5 stars for the food, & 5 stars for the owner. 0 stars for our waiter.
We'd like to go back, & recommend to our friends, but not sure we would do so given the experience we had.
Nous avons été un peu déçus par rapport à notre visite l'année dernière. Le service à la clientèle est très bien. Le goût des pizzas est bon mais la quantité de garniture a diminué. Cette année nous avons mangé à l'intérieur & l'éclairage est désagréable pour les yeux. L'attente a été très très longue, plus d'une heure !
