The view is amazing!! Smash burger was incredible & the poutine was very flavourful, the cheese pizza was amazing. Definitely recommend the Mac'n cheese & the smash burger. The smash burger is to die for!
Omg! I can't believe I'm now finding out about this scrumptious dinner pasta. It's a mushroom truffle pasta with added braised beef cheek for additional $6cad. I had never been to this restaurant before tonight. I went out with a burger on my mind to order, but was recommended this pasta by one of the waiters because the pasta is part of their autumn/winter seasonal menu & soon will not be available on the summer menu. This pasta is so delicious that I took my small amount of leftovers to-go & order the exact same dish as a to-go order so I can have dinner tomorrow. I literally dined in & did a take-out! I hope this pasta will be available again autumn/winter season. If you're in town over the next week or two please go & order this pasta. You will not regret it! The flavors are so amazing. I love truffle & could smell it right away from the aroma. The mushrooms & braised beef cheek are so yummy in the sauce. The presentation of this dish is also very nice. I have nothing but great things to say about the service, the pasta, the location, the atmosphere. It was a prefect hot summer day afternoon treat after a long day at work. This pasta was & is food too my soul. With every bite it just keeps getting better & better. Thank you for such great service, great food & the smiles!
Amazing Dinner. Great people, small amount of tables, so reserve becasue theplace fills up. Brick oven pizza was spectacualr, & Burger was delicious. Thanks.
I came in for lunch & enjoyed it a lot! It's a cute little pub bar vibe. It's not a huge amount of seating but I love the atmosphere. One waitress/bartender for the whole shop but it worked out completely fine. We got the burger & chicken sandwich. Both dishes were plenty of food & very tasty. Portions were perfect for the cost & it was cheaper than other places I've ate at around the area. I would highly recommend! Food was very hot which was another plus. Location is tucked away but find your way & you won't regret!!
As an english speaking knuckle dragger, I appreciated the charm & sophistication of this pub. From the beautiful patio into the warm, cozy, wood fire heated indoor seating area, this place is done right. As a young lad I spent some times at my Grandparent's home, they had a wood burning stove, the warmth coming off of the stove was nothing short of an emotional experience, to this day I crave the dry, cozy heat of a wood fire. Maybe the nostalgia of a wood fire has compromised my ability to write a fair review, but the review is mine to write & the emotional support fire wins. We ate a piece of burger, got the buffalo mac n cheese & the duck wings. The food was adequate, it will not blow your socks off or leave your mouth wet just dreaming of it. (see my review on Gus Gus) I did enjoy the duck wings, they were the perfect texture & crispiness for me. Our server was terrific, she spoke enough english to take good care of us, she was attentive & thoughtful. Possibly my favorite part of the evening was listening to the ladies at the table next to us lamenting their man problems. At one point I heard "Screw the house, screw the dog, screw Brandon, I'm never going back there. I'm not sure who Brandon is or if I should feel bad for him or not, however as a drama enthusiast it was hard to focus on my duck wings & cider beer.
I am of the mind that every spot has a night off but I cannot help to think that this is how things at this pub. The serving staff were lovely & the drinks cold, that is where it ends. The onion soup (the actual reason we went) was about 5 spoons of liquid with the rest being sodden bread & cheese so dense that I could not chew it, The burger was so chilled that the cheese did not melt & the poutine equally disappointing. I cannot help to think that the team there have great intentions but have dumbed down their focus to accommodate the throngs from the cruise ships. The bill was well over 100 dollars for two soups, a burger, a glass of wine & -two beer.
