Service was marginal. Ordered a French 45 & the champagne must have been open for days & the drink was not made properly. Bad decor, dead flowers & cheap glassware. There was a TV in the corner & food on the floor. Did not order food. Do not waste your money.

After touring the iconic Château Frontenac, our group of 5 went to 1608 for some drinks. The custom cocktails were beautiful & delicious. I went for the 1943-it's a smoked cocktail with a lightly smoked scotch, that was balanced & delicious from the first sip to the last. Excellent service for a larger group & an atmosphere of elegance, but we fit in anyway.

It was a neat bar spot for a late night. Beautiful setting & fireplaces by the bar. It's neat reading through the back stories of the drinks with my wife. Added to the experience of old Quebec City 😁. We especially liked the SOIE.

We didn't stay at the hotel so we found indoor parking about a short distance away. 😊

A true experience with a mystic feeling vibe. The whole bartending team are well experienced with a pleasant & friendly personality. They had some incredible signature cocktails.

Also some specially distilled/bottled whiskey made just for this hotel. Highly recommend even just to grab 1 drink.

It is a beautiful, upscale spot with a great ambiance. The setting is elegant & perfect for a relaxed night out.
We only had drinks during our visit. They were nicely presented but just okay overall... it was not bad, just not especially memorable. Still, the atmosphere alone makes it worth stopping by.

We ordered the Green Fog & Volcano cocktails, & they were absolutely incredible! We also tried the'La Rose & le Renard.' The truffle fries were so fluffy & crispy, bursting with flavor. Everything was amazing. I felt transported back to the Raffles Hotels in Cambodia. The smokiness was incredible, & the flavors were perfectly balanced. The 1943 tasted like Canada in a drink-smoky, strong, sweet meets liquor. The mixology was fresh, vibrant, & at its best. Desserts were equally delightful, pairing perfectly with our drinks. The Apple Pie cocktail was another highlight; it literally tasted like an apple pie! All orders were handled by Guillaume, who was professional & friendly-a true pleasure to interact with him! The setting by the fireplace felt like being at a ski resort, which made the experience even more perfect. I highly recommend these cocktails & the place!

A must-visit bar in Quebec City!
Bar 1608, located within the Château Frontenac, is simply stunning, beautifully decorated with rich wooden panel walls & elegant moldings that reflect the château's historic charm. It is the perfect spot to unwind after a busy afternoon of sightseeing.

The cocktail menu is a work of art in itself. It is beautifully illustrated, with creative storytelling & detailed descriptions for each drink. The cocktails are every bit as beautiful as their photos, & they deliver on taste: creative, well-balanced, & with a touch of whimsy.

Of course, it is not the cheapest place in town, but every sip feels worth it. True to Fairmont style, they know how to do it right. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here & will definitely be back.
