Such a lovely café with a really nice, cozy vibe. I tried their **chocolate raspberry pastry**, & it was honestly the highlight - rich, chocolatey, & perfectly complemented by the raspberry. Definitely worth trying!
I also got the **iced mocha**, which was solid & did exactly what I wanted it to do - creamy, chocolatey, & refreshing without being overly sweet.
Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. It's the kind of place that feels perfect for slowing down, grabbing a coffee, & enjoying a little treat. **Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!** ☕?🍫❤?
In rainy day ☔? great time to hide with a cup of latte & best freshly made croissant 🥐 ☕?
Busy place but inviting with sweet aroma of pastries & well done coffee
Great service 💕👌🏼
The staff were very friendly & patient with me while I tried to order in French.
The vanilla latte & matcha latte were perfect (about 7cad for large(grand). Not too sweet & the matcha was not too bitter. We also ordered a raspberry cheesecake which was a perfect balance of creamy, sweet & a bit tart. Very satisfied with our afternoon pick me up.
Great cafe with very tasty sweet pastries & good savory options as well. The quiche is a quick & satisfying lunch option, & both the coffee & hot chocolate are excellent. I kept coming back during my trip for breakfast & snacks.
We visited La Maison Smith & really liked the space ,it is big, open, & has plenty of seating options. We tried their cheesecake, which was delicious & not too sweet. They also have a good variety of savoury options & coffee to choose from. Overall, we enjoyed the vibe a lot. It's a great place to relax & take a cozy break from the cold winter weather. ☕❄?✨
Lemon tart was not fresh or tasty, it did not even smell like lemon, nor tasted like one. We ordered usual latte without any syrup & got a very sweet coffee that obviously had something in it. The barista said "no, I did not add syrup" like 5 times, "I'll make another one & it will taste exactly the same". Well, it didn't. The new one was not sweet. She just couldn't admit her mistake. It was a very disappointing experience, I go to coffee shops rarely & I was looking forward for a nice coffee outside.
that is the best Chocolate caud ( Cake ) not too sweet & rich of dark chocolate , very good hot chocolate a lot better than tim horton's hot chocolate ! ! best place for get breakfast at old quebec & also the vibes of the place is really good
I came for a beverage & ended up deciding on the hot chocolate & absolute love every sip of that. The barista made it very well & it was exactly the way it was described to me. 64% dark chocolate & not much sweet( guess no sugar added), which it what I was looking for. Best hot chocolate ever for me! One thing to improve through is to have Menu card available; when I was deciding on the beverage to drink, the screen which displayed the menu kept changing & also it was only written in French, which made it difficult for me!
During my recent visit to Café La Maison Smith in Quebec City, I was absolutely delighted by the culinary experience. This vibrant & trendy café, with its enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee, offers a cozy & welcoming atmosphere that instantly draws you in. What made the visit even more special was the dog-friendly patio, where my dog Lucky could join us. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the hot chocolate. I've had my fair share of hot chocolates, but this one stands out as the best ever. It's perfectly sweet & creamy, without that watered-down taste that you often get elsewhere. Each sip was a comforting embrace of rich, velvety chocolate. We also sampled a variety of pastries, starting with the chocolate croissant. It was just right-not overly sweet & filled with a generous amount of chocolate that made each bite heavenly. The croissant itself was flaky & buttery, adding to the overall satisfaction. The star of the show, however, was the choco framboise pastry. This delightful treat offered a subtle strawberry flavor that was perfectly balanced with the rich chocolate. The pastry was wonderfully flaky & soft, making it a textural delight with every bite. It was an exquisite combination of flavors that left a lasting impression. In addition to the outstanding food & drinks, the staff were friendly & attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Quebec City, Café La Maison Smith is a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates quality pastries, exceptional hot chocolate, & a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return for another round of these delightful treats!
