No Menu Prices for their own wine (bottles). A Trap, Not a Restaurant.
A legitimate restaurant lists its wine prices. This one doesn't - & after our bill arrived, it was obvious why.
Two bottles we ordered are sold on their own shop shelves for $58.50 combined. We were charged $113.50. No corkage fee, no service surcharge, no explanation - just silent doubling of the price for anyone who doesn't think to ask. We didn't ask, because we assumed, reasonably, that a restaurant would publish what it charges.
Here's what makes it worse: their own by-the-glass prices tell a different story. The first wine was $8 a glass - implying roughly $40 a bottle. They charged $65. The second was $6.50 a glass - implying around $32.50 a bottle. They charged $48. They can't even keep their own pricing consistent, because there is no pricing - just whatever they decide to charge once you've already drunk the wine.
When we raised the discrepancy, the staff was rude. We asked the supervisor for an explanation. She asked us to leave.
Not an apology. Not a justification. Just: leave.
We paid & we left - but not before making note of exactly what happened. If you're heading to wine country, ask for a wine list with prices before you order anything. Or find a place that respects its customers enough to be transparent.
This one will escort you out the door for asking a reasonable question.
Amazing experience, very friendly staff, delicious wines & drinks, food portions were fantastic. Menu could use a little expanding but nothing to lose stars over as there is definitely something for everyone.
I had a very disappointing experience at this wine shop in Quebec City. During my visit, I felt that I was treated differently from other customers because of my race/ethnic background. Staff members spoke to me in a dismissive manner & provided a level of service that was noticeably different from what I observed being given to other customers.
As a customer, I expect to be treated with the same respect & professionalism as everyone else. This experience made me feel unwelcome & uncomfortable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously & reviews its customer service practices to ensure all customers are treated fairly & respectfully.
I stopped there to buy wine for my husband . , I observed staff offering wine samples to several other customers while my group was consistently overlooked. We were never offered a sample, despite being present & interested in the products.
Worst place ever , no one except people who speak French or are white should go to this place.
Excellent Sangria, & free tastings for a variety of current fruit products, affordable wine tasting
After trying the soft serve black currant Ice cream, I needed more. So we went to the small market area where they had the friendliest staff & the best wine tasting set up I've seen. Perfect experience to end the day.
We had an awesome tine at Cassis Monna & Filles. We were greeted the moment we walked in & jumped right into tastings 4-5 different black currant wines. I never got the modelesque lady with the cat ear eyeglasses name but she was sweet, personable, & knowledgeable. The also have a vodka & gin (eeeyuck). However, I tasted the vodka but it wasnt as smooth as I like it, but that didnt stop us from buying the sangria & port. Oh my! The view is amazing.
Very tradicional place on Isle of Orleans for drinks, meals & other stuffs done with cassis. Place are nice & confortable. Service is good & also food. You must try the wines.
First we enjoyed their black current soda down the street at a winery. Since we don't drink alcohol they offered Cassis & we liked it. Then we went to their farm & enjoyed vanilla black current soft ice cream. All yummy.
Great stop to try amazing unique black currant wines & more! Definitely try the soft serve ice-cream. If you can pick up a bottle of wine too. Very unique & sweet flavour. Vodka is great, but the Gin is so-so.
If you are on the island stop hy 110%
