What a delightful place to find, off the main path! The service was so wonderful, kind, attentive & knowledgable. The food was so good, all 3 of us raved about the quality & flavours. We each had a pasta & shared a caesar salad. Portions are generous, flavours abundant & recommendations were just perfect. A beautiful evening.
Nice wine options, interesting & tasty flavours in all the traditional pasta sauces we tried & excellent desserts. All around well worth it, we went back again a few days later since we liked it so much!
Visited for dinner Aug 3 2025 with the family.
Some issues:
Took a VERY long time to receive our dinner. I think the wait for our food was close to 1hr.
All pasta dishes were under seasoned.
Waitress tried really hard to over sell the dishes. Portions were massive & could very easily be shared. We were told they were enough for one person. Lots of food went to waste.
Maybe they had an off night but definitely not worth the 4.7 rating.
The host seated us right by the door, which wasn't ideal given how many other open tables there were. However, I have to say, this was hands down the best pasta I've had in Canada!
I almost didn't post this as this was such a delightful locals place. After vacating for 10 days we are no emaciated & were wanting something lighter. We were seated & both quietly enjoyed the sound of our French speaking diners nearby…no English & it was very tranquil….then a large group with children arrived. ;)
One course only - I had Ciccio pasta & my wife had the walleye plate. Forgot to take food photos but it was excellent. Great service & eclectic music playlist. Wines by the glass or bottle. Few options but a great local beer. Full service bar - wife had martini.
Like Nina this is a must for us to return to on a future visit. Reservations are a good idea…we walked in without one.
The bread was served cold. I read a review about that before going & the owner rebutted that the bread is not. Well, it was. But that's fine. If the rest of the meal was good, I would still be positive. It was not.
The wine selection was good & fairly priced, but that's where the dinner experience should have stayed. The food was mediocre. The reviews promised good food & portions. The carbonara was bland & more alfredo than carbonara. Spaghetti with cream & cheese. Nothing flavorful. Not creamy, just sticky. No egg & not fresh pasta. I am sure it came from a jar. The pasta was dried & Costco quality. Over cooked. The Ossobuco was average served with very bland egg noodles. Save yourself the disappointment. Find another place to go.
I was responded to by the owner but instead of trying to improve the food quality, simply insists it's my negative reviews. Should have looked deeper as there are many positive reviews. Saw similar tact in other responses, & the place has great potential, but not there currently. Focus on fixing the food & you'll have a wonderful restaurant & get positive reviews.
By far the best authentic Italian in the area. Delicious pasta & sauces, cozy atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff. Very reasonable prices. Would recommend over & over!
Awesome last minute find! We arrived at Quebec City the day of our daughter's birthday. Place was full but definitely worth the 2-hour wait. For antipasti, we had the escargot & calamari. For the entrees, linguini vongole, fettuccine alfredo & pasta limone. & for dessert, my daughter ordered the 3-chocolate mousse cake. A1 service, very good food & nice ambiance. Thanks, guys!!!
