Let me just summarize the following 5 stars - ceasar salad ( one of the best) 3 stars - Veal nothing speical 2 stars - Salmon was way overcooked or old freezer stock as cant taste the meat flakes, it just crumbles. 5 stars - waiter Max was superb, very friendly & happy.

Globalement je donne un 4 étoiles pour l'atmosphère & le service mais la nourriture était vraiment bof. J'avais envie de carpaccio de boeuf & j'ai voulu l'essayer là. Peut-être pas la meilleure idée que j'ai eu. J'ai pris aussi le boeuf bourguignon.. il était très bof selon moi. Le goût était banal & trop salé.

We ate at quite a few places in Quebec, & they were all good, but Conti Cafe stood out. Max, the host, made everyone feel special, & his friendliness set the tone for the staff. (It starts at the top!) But on top of that the food was outstanding, the best we had in the city. My Risotto with Shrimp was the best risotto I've had. Everyone else felt the same way about their food. Definitely include Conti Cafe in your list of where to eat in Quebec City.

Very welcoming...we enjoyed a table by an open window, a delicious meal served by very friendly & professional staff! Would definitely recommend! Save room for dessert...

Three of us felt a little uncomfortable about the interior & the seating. The serving was polite but not pleasant. The food was overpriced & mediocre to our judgment.

My wife & I showed up on a Friday night without a reservation & were quickly accommodated. Menaka was our server & she was amazing! On the ball at all times & constantly checking in. The food was delicious, I had the shrimp & chorizo risotto & my wife had the halibut with saffron risotto. Overall great experience but definitely made so by Menaka's service!

Had Filet & lobster risotto which had zero hit of lobster. Ask for medium rare, meat was over cooked. Delivered by young lady, the waiter never came back to the table to ask how things were. Other plates looked good, but ours was lacking... We are tourists perhaps that was the issue. Good wine & appetizer, but the main course at 61 c was quite disappointing. We had a reservations at Le Contential pre-scheduled which we promptly cancelled. This dish was recommended by the waiter.
