Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting the city for the first time. So glad we did. Great atmosphere...our server Nancy was awesome: very friendly & helpful. Food was outstanding (had the fried chicken sandwich & Dorsay burger). Overall wonderful experience...look forward to returning.

Spaghetti was bad. Burger was okay with way to much mayonnaise. The service was good except for a rude receptionist.

Very good food & great selections. Between 4 of us we had nachos, burger & a Buddha bowl. Then pecan pie & lava cake for desserts. Everything was delicious, service was very very good. Nancy our server was funny, nice & on top of things! Would definitely return.

How does this place only have a 4.4 rating? It's much better than that. We're in Quebec, visiting my brother & sister in-laws. We came here the first few days of arriving & I had the chicken burger which was fantastic, my partner & I decided to visit again on the penultimate day of our trip & I had the spaghetti Bolognese (a great, warm dish when it's freezing cold outside). The staff are friendly, attentive & the place has great decor, is comfortable & clean. The music is also played at the right volume, it provides some background atmosphere without having you struggle to talk. Every table around us is taken, it's popular for a reason!

Went there for lunch. Place is so nice & lively.

Ordered veggie burger (without reading the description)

Veggie burger was just two slabs of big fat tofu & some salad. I didn’t like the taste at all.

I read the description after ordering it does say marinated tofu. But the flavour was just so blend & flat.
I had the veggie patty in my mind.

Anyways if you are not a tofu fan! Please don’t order.
