Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

We had the burger & the lobster roll. Both were excellent. We did find the price of wine a little steep.

Visitarlo es sumergirse en la verdadera vibra del Viejo Quebec, con estilo de pub clásico británico, ambiente agradable y acogedor. Gran variedad de cervezas locales e internacionales. La comida supera por mucho las expectativas de la típica comida de pub.

We loved Quebec ❤? This was the first time having the famous Poutine. This place was like an old English Pub in the middle of Quebec. The service & food were sensational.

Amazing food, great vibes, & outstanding service!** Every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, & perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, & made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, & I can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Finding a quality restaurant in a bustling tourist area can be quite challenging, yet DORSEY provided exceptional service. I just returned from Quebec City after a four-day vacation, during which I visited DORSEY four times. The atmosphere, the vibrant energy, the charm, & the courteous, friendly staff all contributed to a wonderful experience. & then there was the food! I have never tasted such exquisite dishes with such intricate flavors as I did here; the passion truly lies in the details. Be sure to try their chicken wings, buttermilk fried chicken, warm Quebec chicken salad, & homemade sausage with bangers & mash. Oh my goodness, you will be amazed when you get there!

The drinks were good, the fish & chips were also pretty good (although the fries aren't normal fries, they're really 3 potatoes which were cut into'thick' fries). The poutine was rather disappointing in flavour & size, & although the service was quite friendly, the drinks, but the food especially took a very long time to arrive.
