Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Good spot for food & drinks in a very touristy city. Prices were reasonable (on par with Toronto). I would go back next time I am in Quebec City.

D'orsay is located in the old city section of Quebec City. It is very near to Notre Dame Quebec. In any case, they have great cocktails & an extensive food menu. We had both theussels & the paella. The white wine mussels were very good, the paella was somewhat dry & undercooked. They were very busy in their defense. The Caesar salad was very good as well. I would recommend giving this place a try, even if for nothing more than drinks. Follow for more...

The food tasted quite good but the ribs I got had the sauce sitting on top & seemed too bright flavour wise. I would have preferred it to be coated & then cooked for a couple minutes so the sauce was a little tackier & stuck to the meat. But overall tasted good just made it look kind of disappointing, but didn't impact the flavour too much. The drinks were very good!

We had reservations & were treated very rudely by the hostess when we excused ourselves past others without reservations. The place was only half full but we were made to wait 20 minutes after seated before the waiter spoke to us & took the drink order. 20 minutes later, no drinks so we left. I rated the food a 3 to be fair as there was no "not applicable" option.

Waited way too long for drinks & food - 50+ minutes. To me, you don't make reservations to wait this long. Food was good once served.

We had a fabulous evening at the Pub d'Orsay! Great pub environment, really nice staff - arrived early for our reservation (recommended) & were seated early. Great selection of beers! A seafood paella with 24 mussels surrounding the bowl - wow, spectacular & very tasty. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this pub as a great place to eat & enjoy a drink.
