Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Même avec une réservation, je n'ai pas aimé attendre entre les deux portes dans une entrée exigue. Je n'ai pas aimé non plus à la table avant de commander me faire dire vous avez deux heures pour quitter la table. Les steaks étaient durs même si saignants, les légumes faisaient pitié, nous étions assis dans ce qu'ils appellent la bibliothèque tellement petit qu'on ne peut reculer la chaise, tout ça pour une facture de 150$ & en plus un stationnement impossible, & il faut stationner à 15 minutes de marche. Ce n'est plus le Dorsay de ma jeunesse & je ne le recommanderais jamais à mes amis.

La nourriture était très bonne. J'ai pris une bavette de boeuf, la viande était très tendre. Mes desserts super bons. Les employés très aimables. Je recommande.

Bonjour j'ai passé une super soirée un service extraordinaire notre repas était succulent j'ai pas laissé un morceau , & c'est certain que je vais y retourner & le recommander Bravo

On nous a installé au 2ème étage... quelle déception! Ambiance totalement différente du 1 er étage, nous avions l'impression d'être dans une cafétéria. Nous étions 4 & tous unanimes quant à la nourriture qui était très moyenne...
Nous ne recommanderons à personne & n'y retournerons pas...dommage.

Food & service was very good. Our waitress, Nancy, was wonderful & attentive, & also absolutely no problems ordering or asking questions in English, so no worries there. I ordered the Mussels & Fries with the mustard sauce that Nancy recommended & I couldn't have been more pleased, it was excellent. My wife ordered the 4 cheese french onion soup & that was excellent as well. Will definitely come here again when we visit again.

The food was more than worth waiting for half an hour for. Seafood Chowder is a must try. Fettuccini was also perfect for my taste. Faella was great too but a bit oily for my taste. But above all the good things this restaurant can offer, I think the service I've received was the best. We had Nancy serving our table & she was so professional & thoughtful. Even before I ask for anything, she'd already know if we'd like to be helped. For example, She perfectly timed the seafood so by the time we've finished it, out main dish was served right away. We've enjoyed the time & taste at the restaurant. I'd recommend anytime.

Had a fabulous dinner. Great ambience & wonderful service. Our server (think her name was Nancy) was super & very efficient. Made our reservation online as we knew it was going to be St. Jean Baptiste day. Highly recommend this to everyone.
