About

Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Fancy an evening with a British flavor?
A lively atmosphere, British playlist, and London-style happy hour await you!

Step inside Le Dorsay and immerse yourself in the atmosphere, laughter, and stories of a pub where every corner tells a piece of history.

Cheers!

I didn't read any reviews before coming to this restaurant & I'm really satisfied. They have a lot of drinks & food. We ordered Linguini, Fried squid & 2 cocktails & it was really nice. The server is really kind & they served us quickly. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!!

D'Orsay in Quebec City is a culinary gem that truly stands out. The ambiance is warm & inviting, making it perfect for a cozy dining experience. I highly recommend the seafood paella; it's a vibrant & flavorful dish packed with fresh seafood & perfectly cooked rice. The balance of spices is spot on, & it's definitely a highlight of the menu. The staff is attentive & knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. If you're in the area, D'Orsay is a must-visit!

We turned up on Saturday evening without a reservation, half expecting to find all the tables filled. Fortunately they managed to squeeze us in. Our table was inside next to a window so we could watch the world go by. Nancy was our waitress. What more could one want, than a smiling, efficient & attentive person to look after your dining needs. We ordered moules with blue cheese & I can honestly say they were the best we have ever had. Highly recommended. Nancy came over to see if the meal was OK & removed moule shells which usually spill over the container onto the table. She kept us well watered & checked if we wanted more beers. A wonderful meal enhanced by the friendly attention of our waitress. Many thanks Paul & Angela

Excellent! Awesome location, pub atmosphere, outdoor seating available. I had the Seafood chowder & it was the best chowder I've ever had anywhere at anytime. The stock was savory without being overwhelming & the quantity of varied seafood (shrimp, scallops, clams) was plentiful (so that every spoonful had some). We also ordered salads which were well balanced, delicious, & not smothered in salt & garlic as is the case in so many "tourist" restaurants. Service was excellent. This is a great find & highly recommended!

Location is great. Food is just okay. The lobster roll is so disappointing, not recommended. If main lobster roll is 10, here is 4. Seafood linguine tastes good, but not amazing. I couldn't even find a piece of lobster in the sauce. With the price, I definitely expect more.

I wouldnt recommend D'Orsay, there are much better restaurants in the area. My mussels were pretty much flavorless & the "white wine sauce" looked & tasted like unflavoured salt water that the mussels were cooked in. Fries came out cold & we had a hard time tracking our server down.
