Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Dès notre arrivé le Wow ,
je donne mon nom & immédiatement la jeune dame nous reçois avec , Bienvenue & Joyeuse anniversaire madame , l'effet Wow commence dès notre arrivé , une superbe de place réservé en entrant dans la section restauration nous attends sur le bord de la fenêtre face a place du marché Allemand quoi de mieux ! Le serveur d'une gentillesse remarquable & que dire de notre repas , vous dites les meilleurs moules a Québec & ne soyez pas gêner de continuer a le dire car vous avez absolument raisons les meilleurs moules au monde ! Pour ma part steak frites sauce échalote je ne suis pas trop certains notre serveur pourquoi faire un choix . . . Je vous apportes les deux , y'en a pas de problème ici . . . Soyez assurer que je vais en faire la promotion de ce fameux D'orsay ! Félicitations & MERCI pour votre accueil votre Bouf & l'atmosphère ,vous avez la recette gagnante & votre établissement fera parti de notre agenda pour plusieurs années !

J'ai pris un fish'n chips. Le poisson était bon mais la parure un peu épaisse & pas de sauce tartare. On a du la demander mais le service fut rapide, courtois. Je vous invite à goûter au fish'n chips du corsaire... a mon avis le meilleur. Vous pourriez vous en inspirer.

Well the mussels came with a sauce I did not order & the bill came with two dinners we didn't order. The beer, "La Fin du Monde," was great. Maybe the phrase was meant to be? To conclude, mistakes happen & it was good enough. I'd go back.

We had our last dinner in Quebec at this pub & we were not disappointed in the least. I had the seafood chowder which was one of the best I've ever had. It was full of shrimp, mussels, salmon & scallops. My husband had the mussels marinara & said they were the sweetest mussels because they were not overrun with heavy tomato sauce. Our waitress was very attentive. Great way to end our 4 nights in Quebec.

Nous avons mangé des calmars frits en entrée,la sauce qui l'accompagnait était non approprié pour le met,une sauce tartare citronnée aurait été plus indiqué...l'ambiance était très bien,le service attentionné....mais au niveau du menu ça manquait de raffinements....

Poutine originale par sa sauce au foie gras avec un petit goût sucré en complément. Excellentes frites aux herbes Superbe expérience.
