Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Normalement un 4 -41/2.
Mais le service à fait tous la différence.
Paella 8/10,plateau fromage 9/10 du meilleur pain ferai la différence.

The paella hade no trace of saffron, excess if sausages & lack of chicken. The dish did not match the picture beside the entrance.

We made specific dinner reservations well in advance, with a request for a booth in the main bar area; & we reconfirmed the day before arrival. Our party was seated on the second floor at a table next to stairs & a check out station. A large party finished dinner just as we started. Upon exiting, they were using the chair back & then the shoulder of one of our guests to exit down the stairs as if he was a stair railing. Not quite what we expected. We wondered if the ignoring our request was the thought that because we are visitors from the US, our opinion did not matter—they "would never see us again".

J'ai pris un fish'n chips. Le poisson était bon mais la parure un peu épaisse & pas de sauce tartare. On a du la demander mais le service fut rapide, courtois. Je vous invite à goûter au fish'n chips du corsaire... a mon avis le meilleur. Vous pourriez vous en inspirer.
