Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

We never miss D'Orsay for a meal every time we visit Quebec City. The atmosphere is comfortable & feels exactly typical of a good restaurant. Menu selections are varied & delicious. Wine list is varied & reasonable value. Thank you for having us, we look forward to our next visit with anticipation.

My wife & I both ordered the steak frite, my blue steak was closer to medium rare, my wife's steak did not arrive, server had forgotten to punch it in. They eventually got my wife her meal but not till after I had finished my meal. Shame about the horrible service looks like an otherwise nice place. Being fair they did comp my wife's meal but still not a good experience.

We would definitely go back! Food was excellent. Portions were manageable (which we prefer over portions that leave no room for dessert). Ambiance, especially upstairs, was excellent. Service was slightly slow.
