Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Nous avons mangé deux jours avant le jour de ce commentaire & nous avions été très bien reçu mais aujourd'hui nous sommes tombés ma copine & moi sur un serveur franco/canadien qui nous a obligé à lui donner un pourboire alors que nous allions le faire mais celui-ci a refusé de prendre un pourboire minimum de 15% . Celui-ci c'est énervé car nous ne voulions pas lui donner autant & nous a engueulé en nous disant je cite «  vous me décevez , je suis très déçu de votre comportement «  Nous avons donc refusé de lui donner le pourboire & l'avons donné à son collègue en monnaie ! Il est intolérable de la part d'un serveur côtoyant de la clientèle tout les jours d'avoir un comportement de la sorte envers le client. C'est inacceptable. Nous sommes pas dans l'obligation de donner un pourboire & si nous le voulons ce n'est pas au serveur de choisir celui-ci.

The food here is always wonderful. We have been eating here on visits to Quebec for a decade on & off & we always come here for a meal or two. The pork chop with maple was sooooooo delicious & the risotto with seafood & chicken is a new favourite I will order again for certain. Nice easy atmosphere & accommodating hosts. Do yourself a favour- go & have a meal at this Pub.
