Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Food was surprisingly great. Knocking off a star because of the really out-of-place AI portrait art hung on some stone walls.

Bad experience compared to my last visit on 2022. The food was good & service was excellent when we first visited this restaurant on 2022. However, this time, the server informed us the menu has changed half year ago. All we wanted are unavailable anymore. I wish we checked out the updated menu before making reservations. The potato purée on Fish & Fish as well as Lobster sausages that my moms have are taste more like spice, not the food itself.

Si je compare avec les années précédentes, honnêtement mauvais. Je suis client de cet établissement depuis au moins 20 ans & aujourd'hui moi & ma conjointe avons été déçu.
À titre d'exemple, au menu il y avait un excellent steak frites, disparu ..& je ne vous parle pas de la facture.
Bref terminé pour nous

We just had a fabulous lunch here. Served by Nancy who is an incredible server. Highly recommend the Warm Chicken Salad & the Mussels & fries!
Awesome food, great service & decent prices. Highly recommend!!!

The menu is updated & much fancier than you see posted here. Like the photos? Too bad, you can't have any of that. Don't be idiots- check the menu before going in.
No fish n chips, no poutine, no bangers & mash. Only salty tears are on the menu.
