Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

Our second time in Quebec & we came back to D'Orsay. The food was delicious, the music was great, & the service was excellent!

Came by D'Orsay Bar with a couple friends. Chill atmosphere, & the service was solid. Our server Rumyana was friendly & checked in just the right amount - not too much, not too little. She had a good energy & made things smooth, which we appreciated. Drinks were good too. Would come back.

I had a wonderful afternoon at the bar. I ordered a glass of Rose & had perfect service. The bartender Rumyana was kind, welcoming, & ensured I had a great experience. I did not have an opportunity to try the food, but if I have time I will absolutely return.

When I came in, Rumyana was the barmaid & she was AMAZING! Very professional but super friendly & attentive to detail. I had a great meal the cocktail she made me was amazing. Thank you Rumyana

Pour notre goût le changement de carte à la vente de l'établissement laisse à désirer comme poulet cari lait de coco qui n'est aucunement mentionné comme épicé alors j'ai été déçu qui ne mange pas épicé, ce qui reste une question de goût. Mon conjoint a pris des linguines aux fruits de mer à 38$ & c'était une portion pour enfants, donc si on n'est pas capable d'offrir une portion normale je pense que l'on devrait s'abstenir. Nous avons pris comme entrée une soupe à l'oignon mais nous nous sommes jamais attendu à une soupe très granuleuse. Mais tout ça c'est notre goût à nous.

Nous sommes arrivés avec un forfait de la forfaiterie pour 2 qui incluait 2 tables d'hôtes & une bouteille de vin. Le forfait a coûté plus de 100$ & était sans date d'échéance & que le restaurateur pouvait ajouter un frais de service après un certain temps. Le gérant nous a indiqué que le resto ne faisait plus de table d'hôte donc nous avions pour une valeur de 80$ a dépensé. Aucun sens sachant qu'ils vendent les bouteilles 50$ & que le forfait a coûté plus de 100$. Le gérant était intransigeant & d'aucune écoute. Très déçue, je ne recommande aucunement ce restaurant.

Amazing service. Great food. Awesome view. The server spoke both English & French & was super attentive (best in Canada!). We got poutine & a variety of local beers. The poutine was authentic & squeaky & the beers were so unique! Would definitely recommend & will definitely be back.

Service was good, but fish & chips & were truly terrible. No flavor & seemed like filler in the fish. Expect more for a pub & this price point.
