Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

We ordered the regular poutine, mac & cheese, & a seafood chowder. The poutine was one of the best I've had, & the mac & cheese was amazing! It had bacon bits & caramelized onions in it & was really good. The seafood chowder was delicious & had quite a bit of seafood in it. Everything was so flavorful, would highly recommend!

We asked twice for food in the menu which they didn't have for the day, & the waiter just said because it a busy day. Then I ordered the papardelle beef which was just ok. Service is terrible, so slow & not in order of arriving the clients. Will never get back again.

10 minutes d'attente pour avoir une table. Service merveilleux, l'ambiance était agréable pour un mardi ! L'entrée salade césar juste parfait !

Un de mes restaurants préférés dans le Vieux-Québec. La nourriture y est toujours excellente & le service est toujours fait avec le sourire. La chaudrée de fruits de mer est un incontournable, autant en été qu'en hiver.

We recently had lunch at this restaurant & had a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly delicious, with generous portions that left us fully satisfied. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service provided by Nancy, who was attentive & made us feel very welcome. Additionally, we loved the atmosphere of the place-it was comfortable & inviting. We highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience.

Went with family, very limited food option for vegetarians, IPA, lagers are decent. Tried veg burgers, nachos with no bacon. Service was rushed with server not even ready to take the order with patience. Order got messed up with us ended getting nachos with bacon. Would not recommend or go back. There are many friendly options to explore !!
